Quoted from fosaisu:Sounds like some shopping around is in order unless they're including the color software at that price.
If by color you mean orange, then yes they are including the color
Quoted from fosaisu:Fair enough, orange is indeed still a color!
Well fosaisu, I'm a little pissed off at Game Room Guys right now and am officially putting it out there that I'd like to have the pinball community BLACKLIST THEM. I've had a few quotes and seen others here in the $6500 range for AFMr so I asked GRG if they could come down from their $6800 and match it. I'm local and can pick up. They said no. And yet I just went to eBay and saw their new listing. $6800 with FREE SHIPPING anywhere in the continental USA. They'll pay eBay fees, Paypal fees and shipping but they can't price match for a local picking up? F**K THOSE GREEDY A HOLES. This is their third strike (I've tried to deal with them before to no avail)
Please Pinsiders, never buy anything from Game Room Guys. At least shop around and make them your last option.
Quoted from 1967Firebird:This is not that bad of a price when you can put it on a CC and have it shipped. Most places will not want you to pay with CC. But I see you point in a local pick up but here in MO you would have to pay tax if you pick up.
I completely agree with you regarding credit card fees, and it's a very fair price if shipping is included but I'm a local paying cash, don't need the $300 shipping, will save them the eBay and Paypal fees so maybe they could cut me a break? NOPE. And they lost a customer because of it. Hopefully I can keep other customers from buying from them as well.
It's the same in Michigan regarding the tax. I actually would have no problem walking in, paying the 6% tax and taking the machine home. Money makes the world go round and I don't mind chipping in. GRG is free to price their machines where they wish. We as customers are free to take our money elsewhere.
Quoted from Razorbak86:Based on your post, I have decided not to purchase an AFMr from GRG.
Lol. One down, 999 to go
