Still no flippers.
This is what I know.
The j119 connector is the power out to the flippers as well as 2 coils left gate and right gate and a diverter. None work. They are 50v power.
The j120 connector is the ground side and that connector also looks good.
I checked the flippers for power by grounding them out and they work.
I checked the ground wires from the flippers to the j120 connector for continuity and they beeped out ok. So there are no breaks.
The flipper buttons test OK in the switch test.
The other 50v coils in the game work.
I switched out the Driver board with MB but that didn't help.
I've reseated every connector in the game, twice. Including the ribbon cables.

The coin door shuts off the 50v when opened and the led on the driver board goes out. When shut it goes on.
It appears it's working ok as the other coils and flashers work when the door is closed.

I'm completely out of ideas.

Could it be something with the Coin door interface board?
or The CPU?
Those are the only things left.

Any ideas?

Have you took this problem to RGP? LTG and Borygard were very helpful in diagnosing my No Fear issues...

Maybe try your coin door interface board from MB, just to rule it out.

+1 on the RGP recommendation.

Check the tilt mechanisms and the coin door.

Follow the chain of power from the transformer in to the MPU board and check everything.

I guess thats my plans for tonight. I'm going to swap out the Coin door interface board and see what happens. If that don't work I'm gonna swap the Mpu.
I guess I'll have to check for continuity for all those wires as well to make sure there are no breaks.

I will try this and if I have no luck I will post it on Rgp.

Thanks guys.

At this point, I would recommend RGP as well. People can say what they want about RGP, but it's undeniably a great resource when you need help. Your questions will reach many more people than here on Pinside.

there are some very knowledgeable people on MAACA.org as well. I've gotten a lot of problems solved over there.

It's fixed!!!!
I reseated the all the chips on the mpu and the connectors and tried it again.....It worked.

Something must have been dislodged during shipping.

Thanks for the help.

I've learned more in the past few days than the past few months.

Glad to hear that wes!!!

I thought that was one of the first things you tried/checked?

I didn't reseat the chips at first.
I spoke with the seller and he was sorry to hear about it but insisted that they were working when he shipped it. I believed him. So I started thinking that something may have become dislodged. The only thing I had not reseated was the chips. So I gave it a try before swapping out the MPU.

I wish I had time to play but it's too busy at work now....15 hr days. Attacking Mars will have to wait. At least now I can work without this on my mind.

I know exactly what you mean with the crazy days at work, I hope things cool down for you soon so you can play your great new addition!! Just got a chance to put in some time on AFM at California Extreme such a fun pin!!! At least you have it to look forward too once things slow down a bit at work.
