Aerosmith is a solid game but I pick SW Pro based on theme, speed, lights, sound and just general excitement. Aerosmith may have more toys but it's still a game revolving around Aerosmith and the rule-set feels pretty bland and too similar to KISS in my opinion. At least Star Wars is unique and introduces some new concepts such as locking in multipliers and the Tie fighter button.

Quoted from Shapeshifter:

Who would have believed a year or so ago that AS would be beating a new SW game in a poll?

Give it another 6 months and see what people think then. I don't think people have spent enough time on both games and the code for SW is still really early and missing modes and features and they are still figuring out how to balance out the scoring. I'd be surprised if AS is still the favorite in 2018 and beyond.

Quoted from jar155:

Aerosmith will probably ultimately settle as a solid B title in the Stern lineup, I think. It's fun, but it doesn't do anything unique or special and, for those that care, the theme is a barrier. What it does do well, however, is it has code that is very well supported by its layout and vice versa. It has the right amount of depth for what it has going on in regards to shots. It's a very cohesive experience. But again, there's nothing super notable in the game. It's a very safe design, but it is fun.
Star Wars needs to be reigned in a bit on the code level to get to that same level of cohesion. The game is actually not that complicated, but it piles way too many things on top of another. Shots will often have more going on with them than the game can adequately indicate, and it gets very hard to follow, especially with how fast the game plays. There's still a lot to be done with Star Wars, but I think it's always going to be a love/hate type of game. There are just so many quirks that are either going to click with you or drive you off over time. It's not going to be a universal appeal type of game.

Agreed on Aerosmith. It's a solid B title overall and not really a bad game in any particular way. But I also don't think it's really extraordinary in any way besides possibly the artwork. I have a good time playing it but it isn't super exciting. I don't lose any sleep over the Medley wizard mode and Final Tour isn't something that really excites me that much. Star Wars has way more upside to me and most of this is probably due to the theme. There's more potential to blow it up big and the modes are just way more exciting then just playing songs. We haven't even seen Light Saber dual or Jedi multiball yet but the hurry-ups and frenetic nature of the game just keeps me on my toes more and it seems way more exciting to play! I think some of the issues with code will be worked out and I would recommend not stacking modes if you really want to experience the game.-great that Stern now has an option to turn this off. The code isn't even on 1.0 yet and many modes and other features aren't even in the game yet so I think we need to give this game some time before declaring it a failed game.

Quoted from Phbooms:

More Emporor callouts but sometimes Jabba. The Emporor has the best tilt callouts but Jabba also has some, the best one for Jabba is his laugh. The Emporors tilt callouts are long and some of the best lines in SW movies. The Yoda warnings are too repetive and annoying sometimes, "control you must learn control". Hopefully Dwight makes more warning callouts.

The game needs way more Chewbacca too!
