Quoted from Pinphila:Geez, how many times do we have to have the MSRP vs street price reminder.
AS many times as we have to be reminded that when the MSRP goes up so does the street price.
Quoted from Vegas9:This game would be even better with actual footage of the band.
I literally could not think of anything worse than showing the actual band.
Quoted from chadderack:I'm wondering why the LCD must be bigger than a DMD.
Maybe it's a more standard sized LCD that they can get cheaper and not have to have one specially made?
Quoted from smassa:Really??? Uglier then Austin Powers, Starship troopers or Big Hurt even??? Let's not get carried away.
Seriously...Austin Powers graphics looks like it was printed on my Apple IIe printer...what a shit show.
Quoted from ronlisa:After owning 7 other LE's, the signatures on the playfield and Gary's signature on a piece of paper just doesn't do it for me anymore.
10k+ lesson learned
Quoted from djreddog:This is shaping up to be my first NIB pin purchase after being in the hobby for 1 year.
Hopefully it's smoooooth. Last year burned all of us with months & months of push back
Quoted from Kkuoppamaki:Btw, BM66 was also there, I only played one game on it to realize it was not my cup of tea at all. Felt more flimsy and not exciting at all.
That might just be the feel of the original Never know why but dark knight always seemed to move more for me and felt more flimsy than other titles for some reason
Quoted from Pimp77:Sterns plan didn't work I guess...they thought everyone would think this was a deal after BM66 and it's outlandish pricing.
We shall see, there's real life and Pinside. I'll be interested in the sales ...I'M hearing a ton of people saying "it's only 200 bucks you cheapskates."
Just because your increase is more, doesn't change our point. If I wasn't on Pinside I wouldn't have to listen to Canadians, Brits, and men at works telling me how much they pay I still wouldn't be happy.
Or is this another Stern tactic? "Welp I guess we don't pay as much as other countries...thanks Stern?"
Quoted from TimeBandit:Granted, it doesn't change how you feel about it, but my point is towards the prices affecting sales. That ain't going to happen.
Oh I agree with you completely.
Quoted from Russell:And if you DON'T own Kiss, because you never liked it, why would you buy this either?
Haha that's where I'm at. It wasn't the worst thing ever, but wasn't a huge design fan of it.
I think the main point going on is talk of pre-ordering. Since most of us haven't played it, & looking 90% like a game that came out 18-19 months ago is a little too soon to slap down more pre-order $$ than was asked at the time.
May come out and be totally kick ass and feel nothing like Kiss and I'll pick it up. We shall see.
Quoted from jwilson:If you like it for the experience, we actually agree - sitting down with an album, putting it on the turntable, cueing it up and sitting back to enjoy the liner notes -
God Vinyl people are the worst
