Has anyone determined what happens during the final wizard mode and what music is played?

Quoted from sparechange1974:I've got an LE on the way. Are there any game specific set up tips/tweaks that I should make( I already know about the cabinet braces)? Is this the "go to" thread for AS?
Cabinet braces? Haven't heard about this, can someone explain?
Quoted from thunderking50:I like it a lot but i would like an Update on code for the Smart button cause it's not doing much in the game
and i would like to get another multiball in there...Something like a 2 ball multiball for completing something
just to give players a little push to get closer to the Mini wizard or wizard. (My 2 cents)
It is not TWD or Metallica or Acdc but already a good game.
Agreed, game doesn't get old but code update could really make it great.
I was thinking same thing, smart button doesn't do much and some other kind of multiball would be cool. The elevator multiball is definitely tough to get.
Could even add some hidden music tracks that you could play to if you complete the super ramps or super pops.
There is quite a bit they could do if they wanted
Wondering if anyone has used the new pinball browser to take a look at the AS code?
Just wondering if there are any unused music nuggets in there, could give some insight to future code update.
Pro owner - I do like the Prem/Le but not at 2k+ more. Would rather put the cash towards my next machine.
The upper playfield is ok and changes the scoring a bit but I seem to find the Pro faster and a little more difficult, especially getting the elevator multi ball.
Really can't go wrong either way on this one
Anyone add just a new subwoofer for more bass or did you swap all speakers out?
I don't think stock sounds bad other than not enough bass.
Anyone know if the end of game song can be changed using pinball browser without affecting the songs during game play?
For those that changed to flipper fidelity or pinball pro speakers.
Did you notice substantially more bass?
I think the head speakers sound fine however there needs to be some more low end. Sounds very hollow at the moment.
I noticed big change in sound on other machines I’ve upgraded but a few people mentioned for some reason on Aerosmith they didn’t get as much of improvement in sound.
Quoted from sirlonzelot:You can adjust bass in settings
I did that, still not a very full sound.
Quoted from rooftop:just add an external sub and its perfect.
Dumb question.... I have a extra 12” klipsch sub and sub cable.
Is there a jack for a sub cable or do I need to do some wiring?
Just hooked up a spare 12” Klipsch powered sub I had stashed away.
Wow... this thing friggin rocks now!
I've seen a smart missle maybe 3 times now. What are you supposed to do when you get one and how does it impact the game or scoring?
Quoted from djreddog:Use it at your consent to award jackpots or specific flashing shots during certain modes. Scoring varies depending on when you use the missiles.
The last time I saw it I hit the action button and didn’t really notice anything happen.
That’s a good list. I’m still hoping for an additional song or two whether it’s a wizard mode type thing or some mystery music from the crank it up hole.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Pretty disappointing update.
Has the outlane no sound even been addressed?
Presume there will be a meatier update in the Summer with the huge KISS final update
Disappointing is a understatement.
They need to save these tech updates for when there is something more substantial to update, that is unless there are no more REAL updates.
Is this even worth wiping out all my high scores? And no I don’t feel like dicking with pinball browser just to retain them.
Quoted from Spiderpin:Wait for it. Code is on the way. Then it's game on. I'll say on June 6th
What says you.
I'm going to take Memorial Day weekend! Summer kickoff for code release!
Aerosmith is a fun game but it sucks to only have 8 or 9 songs and then to have to hear them again in the wizard modes.
Would be cool if it was coded with some hidden music that you only hear if you achieve the wizard modes.
Quoted from PinMonk:I'm not saying you can't enjoy AS and GotG, just that they won't be much better than they are right now unless Lonnie gets an assist from another programmer and I doubt Lyman has the time again.
Isn’t this likely the case now that Stern hired a bunch of help?
It’s kind of a let down to get to the Wizard modes to only have to hear the same songs.
Other than Outlane sounds my one request with code would be to have some sort of ciu mode whether stand alone where you get some random song not selectable at any other time of game or wizard mode to the otherside With that song and possibly a couple others with difficult shot pattern.
The game hasn’t had any updates so there is quite a bit that can done if they want to make it exceptional.
Didn’t Metallica and guardians have some music added well after release?
Quoted from tilted81:<blockquote cite="#4492858"
Didn’t Metallica and guardians have some music added well after release?
Yes! I’m also hoping for some cool new features. I still very much believe this is a sleeper title
It’s a sleeper for sure, good foundation code but this long awaited update will determine how good the machine will ultimately be. Hopefully Stern doesn’t f’ it up!
Quoted from PinMonk:No we're not. We're exactly 1/3 of the way through summer.
I was being sarcastic but as far as I’m concerned, my measure is based on kids out of school to kids back in school and we are past halfway on my calendar.
Quoted from Crile1:I'm just waiting on the code update before putting this one on the block. We will see if the update makes it a keeper for another 6 to 12 months. But if the ball drains out the outlane with no sound, then it is gone. I just can't stand the silence!
Outlane sounds are a must and id ike to see the CIU utilized more like Metallica, maybe with some extra music.
Quoted from T7:It should award the "Best Shot" at the time you use it (with possibly a few exceptions).
So dumb question if it awards best shot, how do you know when would be an appropriate time to use?
Finally get to Medley Multiball and am on third song same old song and dance and have one shot left right standup. I pounded the crap out of it but wouldn’t register final shot.
Look after game and there is a technician alert to check switch 30.
Is this the switch by chance? Sob wouldn’t let me go any further!
Quoted from Bond_Gadget_007:“Medley Multiball and am on third song same old song and dance and have one shot left right stand. I pounded the crap out of right standup but wouldn’t register final shot due to a technician alert to check switch 30. Is this the switch by chance? wouldn’t let me go any further!”
Can someone address this very serious allegation. New code and already a claim about blocking wizard mode from progressing? Say it ain’t so!
I went into the switch test and it was out of service. Switched back to in service and all is good now.
This is one machine where that upper PF doesn’t add enough to the game to justify the additional cost.
The blue looks better than the purple as well.
I'm having an issue with switch 14 - one of the Aerosmith targets on right side. Not registering hits.
Switch looks fine, no loose wires, switch is clean etc....
With this new update when I go into switch test to see if it's active or out of service I can't scroll through like before.
Any suggestions? It's not letting me progress through the medley wizard mode when same old song and dance played.
Edit - found where to check switch status but still not working.

Anyone have any thoughts on what else I can check here?
Quoted from PW79:I’m far from the most technical, and maybe I’m stating the obvious, but if the switch didn’t work in test mode then I’d look for broken or missing or reversed diode if that applies if you’re sure it’s not a wire loose from the solder of the switch.
Maybe it’s the connection @ the harness?
I’ll have to yank the switch out of the machine tomorrow to take a better look.
Connection at harness might be something to look at but the whole bank of 4 switches is on same connector I think. Other 3 switches work fine.
Quoted from PW79:Can you fake the switch closed by expertly shorting the wires @ the switch via a set of pliers or etc? Or maybe detach from the lugs & touch em together to see if it registers?
Never tried this but I can give it a go tomorrow afternoon.
Shouldn’t this switch 14 that isn’t registering trigger a technician alert?
I think it’s strange that this only occurred after I updated the code.
Quoted from shacklersrevenge:Speaking of Toy Box multiball and love in an elevator multiball, you want to load up the toy box with 5 Ball first, be careful not to get the 6th. Grab a mode if you can, but have elevator ready to go, then hit Elevator. You’ll get the toy box to unload for elevator instead of 3 ball, plus when it’s over you’ll still get the 6 ball toys multiball from the trough/shooter lane.
Is this a bug? I've never heard this.
Quoted from Eskaybee:Not a bug; no way to fix it unless you set your game to virtual locks. There’s 5 balls in toy box, game needs 3 for elevator multiball, 1 ball in elevator scoop, 0 in ball trough; end result = dump the toy box to get the balls. The drawback is that when a ball drains it doesn’t kick it back into play until there are 3 balls in play so you really won’t get 6 ball elevator multiball for very long, but it’s fun trying
Side note. How accurate is your guys’ VUK to toy box? Mines pretty inaccurate, probably 50-70% success rate; I’ve played with power settings and it seems inconsistent, at the same power sometimes it launches the ball high over the toy box lid and other times it’s short, and other times far left. I haven’t really troubleshoot the issue yet but I presume the ball isn’t sitting right in the VUK, might just be a pitch or level adjustment, but wanted to get some opinions before I dig into it.
Interesting...didn't really ever think about it.
Quoted from Coolpinballdino:I just had a great game of Aerosmith pro with extra balls off. I made it to final tour and completed It i also had a love in the elevator multiball where I collected a 237 million super jackpot.

Great score! Not sure what it is about this game but it sure is an enjoyable shooter that is very addicting. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say with this new code it's better than Metallica.
Quoted from Doctor6:Uh.... let's not get ridiculous.
I have them both and prior to the new code I wouldn’t have said this but AS is pretty damn good now.
Quoted from darkryder:I wish they incorporated 'Dream On' into this game. Perhaps the song could be unlocked after completing Final Tour as a reward, sort of like EOTL on Metallica. Maybe in a future code update...this is such a fun addictive game!
I agree only thing the game needs is that song whethervtied to a wizard mode, ciu scoop or at minimum game over song that plays for a bit.
The otherside would be a good song for a wizard mode.
Dream on would be great for say a longer end of game song.
Anyone make any changes with pinball browser?
Specifically I’m wondering if the game over music is a separate sound request from the song in game play?
Anyone know what bulb test lights the jacky spotlight? The one with the 5 leds on a post? Think mine is out.
In the event I need to replace, what type of bulb is this?
Quoted from SonicZone:DIAG -> LAMP -> FLASH -> #145 ("Toy Box Lid Flash").
Thanks, think I bumped it installing armor and knock the bulb loose. All good now!
Quoted from djreddog:But doesn’t this just butcher the modes all to hell?
It could work if you make medleys out of the main mode songs.
Example all the game songs are full length, say after the first 3 minutes of the modes song(long ball time)it transitions into a bonus song. Rats in the cellar into mama kin or last child into train kept a rollin etc... Maybe even bring it back to the original song. If done professionally, it may sound great.
Quoted from Habermania:If the songs don’t fit well, there can be a jarring transition as the song gets restarted . I think of it as a flipping jukebox.m, but also worked with the guy to picks songs that would sort of fit the theme. Obviously, they fit fit perfectly bit I found it to be enjoyable. I’ll try to stream some more of it to highlight what it’s like.
So from the sounds of it you used music other than Aerosmith? Never was a fan of doing that sort of thing.
Quoted from wtatumjr:BTW - Isn't this game great! WAY underrated.
I agree, game Very underrated, every aspect underrated from gameplay, art, music the total package.
Quoted from PoMC:Yesterday I started working on adding videos to Aerosmith. Here's the results of my first test. I added Walk This Way; Dude Looks Like a Lady and Love in An Elevator. I like the results, so I'm going to keep going and add a video for each song.
Looks great!
Quoted from PoMC:Game over plays Rats In the Cellar, or whatever song is in that slot.
I just installed Pinball Browser on my gaming laptop (paid for another license). Wow! Took 3 hours to write the image last night and the game wouldn't boot with it. Wrote the image again on the SD card using the laptop - 11 minutes instead of 3 hours! Still didn't boot, image got corrupted. But that's ok since it won't take 3 hours to test my fix attempts.
So are there two separate rats in the cellar files? One for game play and one for game over or is it coded as one for both? If single file then no option to change it without affecting the song during the game.
Quoted from PoMC:It's one song that gets used in several spots. Change that song and you'll also change the game over music that plays.
That sucks
Looks pretty darn good to me, is the band sort of animated?
Where did you find the content for that?
Quoted from PoMC:Ready to laugh? Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
All but 3 songs in the game have a Guitar Hero video. Dude; Last Child and Same Old Song do not have videos. But I can use other song videos with some editing for them to work.
My wife didn't like those videos when I showed her tonight. She said she prefers the live videos much better. I'm still going to do both versions, but will finish the live videos version first.
Maybe check out some of the other guitar hero editions or even rock band to see if there is a animated version.
Quoted from SonicZone:Congrats and welcome to the club, it's a fun game!
^^ This. ^^
On 1.07 "Sweet Emotion" keeps mode progress after timeout (all prior AS code made you start over when re-starting "SE") and they also got rid of the funky mode behaviors of two or three other song modes to make them consistent with how the other modes work.
Any other changes with 1.07?
I thought there was a bunch of discussion a while back where several thought 1.06 was better.
Quoted from BMHouze:The lack of full tracks seem like a huge minus for LZ.
Even Heavy Metal has full songs.
LZ has full tracks. 50+ minutes.
Quoted from BMHouze:I read somewhere it was 1st verse... Sure the internet wouldn't lie...
..
I only really like the premium art
Same with deadpool....
Center thing reminds me of ringmaster, iron monger.
Hopefully it will have good fluid play.
Nope definitely not first verse only and you would see this in one of the many streams.
You might be getting confused with Beatles which is 45 second to 2 minute clips depending on song.
Quoted from pinballjah:New song icons for Aerosmith. Just have to change the background for Dream On to black. Thoughts?
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Quoted from pinballjah:Some song icon changes for Aerosmith Pro.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
Pretty nice, be cool to have an insert decal so it matches the PF.
What it takes is a little slow but like the other two you selected. Mama Kin and Train Kept a Rollin fit better.
Quoted from pinballjah:Added a couple additional videos yesterday. Seems to work quite well, very little lag if any. Added Walk this way w Run DMC and Cryin to replace (Toys multiball).
Any idea if the game over track can be changed without affecting the full length clip during game play?
Quoted from pinballjah:My version seems to default to The Other Side when the game over music starts (after the match screen). I kind of think it fits well.
I think rats in the cellar is the song for game over. Wasn’t sure if it was it’s own clip or not.
Wish this song was in the game.
Quoted from pinballjah:So replace Rats and that will change your game over song. Easy fix.
I’m thinking about doing this where you still pick the standard songs and having inserts match but since they are all full length having a couple of them transition into another song. Like a medley.
Did this with a song on Beatles and turned out great. Get a 2 for 1 if you play long enough.
Was just thinking, is AS the only music pin since AC/DC that has no flipper button speech or sound in attract?
Finally got my cliffys, anyone have instructions on how to get the large cliffy under the right metal guide? Right ramp need to be removed?
Quoted from Trekkie1978:Post a pic of the area.
Figured it out, There are two screws behind right ramp, one kind of hidden. Remove and you can slide over just enough.
Quoted from Trekkie1978:Anyone selling a topper?
How much are you looking to spend?
