Quoted from Bond_Gadget_007:

“Medley Multiball and am on third song same old song and dance and have one shot left right stand. I pounded the crap out of right standup but wouldn’t register final shot due to a technician alert to check switch 30. Is this the switch by chance? wouldn’t let me go any further!”
Can someone address this very serious allegation. New code and already a claim about blocking wizard mode from progressing? Say it ain’t so!

Perhaps a smart missile would score that last target til you work out what's going on. I just got to Medley and Same Old Song was first up and all targets inc right standup seemed to work fine. BTW, Medley kept going even down one ball! Completed yellow targets and onto the next song which was Rats and it added a ball - nice! The whole playfield went dark except the spinner. Very cool. Counted down the number of spins even while going back to one ball. Song complete then add a ball and onto the next song. Thats as far as I got but really like how Medley keeps going with one ball, as it used to be over much too quickly before. Can't wait to see what the other songs do in Medley MB and what Final Tour is like. Kept forgetting the skill shot so no Smart Missiles but great to bring the smart button into it. This is a very cool game. And pretty.

We love our Aerosmith pro. I'd like to turn the power down on the flippers though if possible. Also the toybox randomly chucks the balls out now and then. If I pull and push the toybox opto connectors it plays fine for about a week. Is there a more permanent fix? Thanks

Quoted from T7:

You've kind of answered your own question...
- Reflow the solder joints on your opto connectors (if they are not soldered, crimp the connectors tighter)
- Make sure the optos are clean, and adjusted as well as possible (facing directly at each other)

Thanks heaps for your advice. I don't have much experience with this stuff but can have a crack and learn.
How about adjusting the flipper power. Is that possible?

Quoted from Spiderpin:

Mine has on my Pro stopped just short of falling into elevator maybe 10 time in 2500 games. I just bump pin forward with both palms and it falls in and gets ejected with no problem.

Same here though though probably about every 10 or 20 games. There's just enough room behind the closed gate for a ball to sit on the edge of the hole without dropping in.

Great layout, art and sound, fun game with a cool vibe and lots going for it but youve got some good thoughtful points there Fireball.

Must share this:
I want a GoT. Love it. So yesterday i got an offer, but only for trade. AS : GoT . One for the other no money extra for him or me to pay.
What happened?
I said no.
Really.
So, i don´t know why, but i couldn´t do it.
AS is too good to swap.
Miracle? Maybe.

AS has a better playfield layout imo with long shots and open areas. Also it's a bright and cheerful game rather than dark and broody. Plus you get some cool songs. And great custom pinball artwork rather than Photoshop stuff.

It's looks like it might be resting on the lane switch wire, which might need adjusting a bit so that it gets pushed down easier.

That looks amazing. Aerosmith sure is a good looking machine and Donny an awesome pinball artist.

Hi fellow fans of this great game. I adjusted the power of the various eject holes and now I'm having a prob with the launch to the toybox, ie its intermittently not launching at all, not kicking out during ball search and saying 'right eject malfunction' . I've tried reseating all the plugs so I thought I might install the latest update to see if that helps. I don't have a Stern Insider setup though. Should I try still putting in the latest update?

#3820 1 year ago

Thanks Spiderpin. I don't know where to find factory reset so I changed all the launch powers back to factory and IT WORKED! A couple of games and no probs. In the meantime I did download the latest code. Is it worth installing do you think?

Quoted from wtatumjr:

Go in coil test and fire that coil maybe 20 times just to make sure the coil isn't flakey. It's probably the "ball on" switch which you can see sticking out of the squarish hole.
Put game in switch test and press that switch with your finger to make sure it's working. If so just bend that copper tab towards the ceiling a little bit then place a ball on the launch pad in the switch test to make sure it's registering properly.

Just tried that and all seems ok. Thanks for the good advice.

What happened to your post rubbers?

I took them off for louder chings and easier ramp but the balls are scuffing up so I better put them back on and chuck some new balls in.

Quoted from scootss:

These look great. Could you share links to what you purchased?

I got the cymbals from ebay
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/314415882874
(High Quality Dancing Finger Cymbals Musical Instrument Parts)

And the posts from https://www.rtbb.com.au/
Metal Post With #6-32 Thread on Base and Top 2" Tall - 530-5012-02

They are from local suppliers in Oz, you'll probably want to look around more locally to you.

I wanted something like an archway over the ramp entrance. I tried a couple of little guitars but they broke.

Hey Sparkies cousin or whatever his name is heads flew off! Ha! Who's laughing now! Fortunately it landed out of the way and I could finish the game. Not sure how to fix. The spring snapped. Might be able to put a plastic or rubber rod in. Or stick a dolls head on or something for now lol

In stock at Pinball Life for $300. Ouch alright. If I cant fix it myself I'll check the local pinball outlets then probably off to the local engineering shop, they're pretty handy.

Putting Jacky's head back on was an easy fix.
I undid the screw on his back and the broken spring slid out. It's quite long with an inch and a half to spare.
It screwed into the broken bit of spring in his head like it was meant to be.
A bit of glue to stop it unwinding and it's stronger than ever.

Quoted from hawkeyexx:

Looks like a common spring you can buy.

If you could find an identical one the hard part would be getting the broken bit out of his head. It's firmly stuck in.
And then youd have to fix the new spring in.
I was pleased with the quick fix and the way he said 'Are we gonna score some points now.?'
