Anyone getting balls stuck going down elevator from upper playfield. Tonight one shot went up the lock lane and didn't come back. Then any ball going down elevator didn't come out . They are trapped between the plastics I think.
Hi can anyone tell me what it means when the smart button flashes white. I was on the last ball, started a 6 ball multi ball and during it the smart button flashed white. I pressed it three times before it stop flashing but I don't know what it did. Too busy to look at LCD. I did complete toys in the attic mode while in the multi ball.
Quoted from Pin_Guy:As far as I can tell, with the current code you can only get them from the mystery scoop during TITA multiball, and ONLY if you no balls in the trough, otherwise you get an add-a-ball reward.
Thanks for the replys.
Anyone see this messages trying to update
"This machine has an invalid factory config please contact your distributor"
This also happened trying to update to 1.05.
Distributor had to send me an already updated SD card, but said he thought it would be ok next time but its not.
Sterns support admitted it is an issue that should have been resolved at the factory and said to contact distributor for an advance replacement , what ever that means.
HI,
I was wondering if there was any factory Modification to stop balls getting stuck on top of the plastics under the upper playfield on an Aerosmith Premium. This has happened about 5 times. When ball is on the upper playfield and it is hit into the Elevator to drop down to the Ball lock. It is deflected ontop of the plastics below the upper playfield. I had to remove the upper playfield to free the ball. This just happened again tonight.
Any Ideas?
Regards
Mario.
Quoted from Animal:Has anyone ran into this problem. The ball when shot from the flipper in the upper playfield through the elevator hole gets caught on plastic before it makes it to the lower playfield:

only happens 1 in like 30 times or so, but a real drag since you have to tip machine to the right and tilt it to release the ball.
Yes , It was happening on my premium mainly during multi ball. I got fed up with it and made a lexan shield to stop it being able to get onto that plastic. Has not happened since. I know took some photos of it , I will see if I can find them.
Quoted from Animal:Please do, Id like to see your fix. I guess you had to take the upper playfield off?
Images show where ball got stuck. And shield I made attached to underside of upper playfield.

Vip is not lighting on the outlane.
No power going to the led.
Power up the line.
Looks like the place to begin.
Are they not on this stern page at the bottom

Quoted from Gunnut40:Anyone had a reset during play. It just random and two players are up. Score is is zero. Really weird. I’m thinking corrupted code.
Yes. I was having reset's randomly for a few months. Replaced memory card with more expensive version. Updated to latest code. Each time it seemed to work for a while then fail again. Sometimes it would play fine for 30 - 40 minutes and then in the middle of a game it would just hang, solenoids would go dead, screen would lock on last image displayed. Was contemplating swapping CPU board with another machine but it finally stop working completely . Boot up failed to find Node Board 8. Removed node board 8 and measured dead short on 6V power rail. Replaced node board and no more problems. Seemed odd to me that the node board became intermittent, would work for some time then finally a dead short.
From the schematics of that node board
When only the RED Led is lit on the node 8 board.
48V present, no 6V: node bus is powered off by CPU, node bus cable is unplugged, or 6V supply is overloaded (shorted) or damaged
In my case I could measure a short on the 5V supply , which is actually fed from the 6V 2A supply on that board.
I went no further since I was supplied a new board by the Distributor.
