Looks like the hole in the cliffy shooter lane protector is in the wrong spot.

Are there any toppers still available?

Or is it just a pipe dream at this point?

Quoted from PoMC:

I replaced the blue t-molding on my Star Trek Pro with red and then installed the blue on Aerosmith. Matches the artwork well and I think will look great when the magnet speaker panel artwork cover arrives.

Do you have different code running on the machine?

Loved the "Headquarters" album cover behind it. Would I be the only one who would buy a Monkees machine?

Quoted from Psw757:

Finally got my cliffys, anyone have instructions on how to get the large cliffy under the right metal guide? Right ramp need to be removed?

Post a pic of the area.

Quoted from wtatumjr:

I'm having a problem I hope y'all can help me with.
My Aerosmith occasionally locks up. The back box screen either goes black, displays only what is on there when it locks, or displays a static image with lines. The lower playfield goes black except I can see the little red opto lights. The flippers stop working. It will work properly upon reset. The back box CPU board appears to work correctly, at least the proper lights are flashing or solid green or red .
Any ideas what to look for?

Do a new code update (even if you already have the latest).

If that doesn't work, follow swamp's advice in getting a new card.

Quoted from swampfire:

Aerosmith has the most beautiful art of any modern Stern - one reason it’s hard for me to think of letting it go. I kinda feel like the bolt-on mods take your attention away from that.

What Aerosmith has going for it too, is the rules are pretty straightforward.

Sometimes I just want to play a game without having to think about how to attack the game via the rules.

Do you take the playfield out to put the blades in?

#3893 1 year ago
Quoted from swampfire:

No, but it would be much easier if I did. I clamp the decal in place, then work my way from the front to the back.

With the spike games, it’s 3 plugs and the playfield cokes right out.

#3901 1 year ago
Quoted from scootss:

I've done it both ways. It is easy to remove the playfield but it is also fine to do it without removing the playfield. The Stern side blades can be moved/removed easily and repositioned if necessary.
I highly recommend using RapidTac (or just water & dish soap) regardless of which method you choose.

A few sprays of that and you can slide the decal around to get it perfectly positioned.

Ordered!

Will this re-glue decals back down too?

I have mylar coming up on Iron man. Just want to get it sticky again.

Anyone have an issue where the ball launch is struggling to get the ball out onto the playfield?

I have the power set at 255.

#3927 1 year ago
Quoted from swampfire:

Does it sound weak, or does it sound like it’s firing but something’s blocking it?

It sounds normal. When I pull up the playfield, it doesn't look like anything is interfering with it.

I can try and upload some video to YouTube. This repair has me stumped.

#3929 1 year ago
Quoted from brainmegaphone:

When you look straight down at the shooter lane - and you push up the autolauncher with the ball in the lane (do this with the game off) does it look misalligned in anyway? When you bring the autolauncher up manually does it look like it is hitting straight on?
So two variables to check - where the ball rests when loaded and how the autolauncher hits it.

I'll look tonight.

If it still looks right, I'll upload a video.

First time I've ever really been stumped fixing something.

Let me know what you think.

I still can’t figure it out.

I recorded in slow-no, but YouTube is speeding it up. Ugh.

Got my issues figured out. Cliffy on the right side, I just slid over just a hair and now the game works perfectly.

Anyone selling a topper?

How do I stop the ball from going airborne on the right ramp? I like to Jack the rear legs up, when I do, it goes airborne, hits the plastic and rolls back down the ramp.

Quoted from pinner11:Anyone have time on an Aerosmith Pro and Foo Fighter Pro? Currently have a NIB FF Pro but thinking of trading for a Aerosmith Pro with under 500 plays. Like both bands and haven’t been able to play an Aerosmith as there is none near me. Any input appreciated. Thanks!

Foo has better rules and more unique shots.

Aerosmith is very straightforward....I don't ever see it leaving my collection.

Foo is much faster too.

#3977 8 months ago
Quoted from scootss:

I love it...all the owners (myself included!) saying Foo is better...but no way we're getting rid of Aerosmith

I don’t necessarily think foo is better. I think it has better shots and better rules. But I love my Aerosmith. It’s never leaving my collection.

Foo has better rules, shots and art than Iron Man…..but I will take Iron Man over foo every single time.

I’ll stick with Aerosmith because the art is great, fun to shoot, the 2 multiballs are fun and different from each other. I like how straight forward the rules are. Not every game needs to be like Wizard of Oz or Lord of the Rings. Factor in Aerosmith is one of my all-time favorite bands.

Quoted from pinner11:

Thanks for the responses everyone. Seems like a toss up but with 3 young kids I like that Aerosmith is easier and more straightforward. Going to try to get it doesn’t work out I will stick with FF.

I think the kids may know Aerosmith better.

There’s the Disney ride. Their music has been in a lot of movies. There’s guitar hero Aerosmith.

Quoted from jimk71:

I recently picked up a Pro model with a severely damage head. Any chance someone has one lying around? I can build a new one, but I still need the artwork if anyone knows of a source.
Thanks

Have a distributor?

They can order from Stern.

Great Lineup
Don't underestimate the king,
Elvis is a great Spike 1
Sometimes, "Can I play with madness" gets annoying.

Elvis was Whitestar.
