Could also be an issue with the MicroSD card below the heat sink. With the game off, try re-inserting it or even swapping it out with a new one (16GB or 32GB class 10).

Mine has done this for a while. I takes a few tries but will eventually boot up.
When I took it in for service, it never happened once when they had it.
No new code installed.
I have not updated mine since I got it, but recently the toybox will start to act haywire. Turn on the game, all is well. Start a game, lock balls, all good. Collect on multiball and toybox ejects, and only sometimes it will keep cycling throughout the game. Game-over, then new game and it's cycling again before anything. Sometimes it will go ten straight games working perfect with no issue, sometimes a few times of turning on and playing a few games. Then it'll start cycling after the first eject for several on/off cycles in a row. What sw do I need to address?

Go into switch test and see if any of the three optos inside the toybox are acting up, turning on/off intermittently. Smack the playfield a little, simulate play, see if it does anything.
Wrote this some weeks ago and it is my answer also here:
There is a connector under the box. Difficult to reseat. Needs some push.
I made a Led Zep and Motley Crue playlist for Aerosmith Pro. Let me know if you want to try either or both and I'll upload the image to my Google Drive and send the link.
Making a Rush mix next just to keep things fresh with the game. I recently went back to the stock code and original animations for a change of pace. They work well when switching music to other bands, just generic enough animations of a band playing.
Has anyone just put the pinballs in the oven?
I guess 175 degrees will remove magnetism.
Cheaper than a degaussing wand.

id prob just buy new ones at 1.50 a piece
1.50 ×6 + shipping to butt-chuck nowhere
Or 20 mins in the oven and back to playing....
Seems like a no Brainer...
Shake and Bake, no butter on balls.

New LE owner here. Loving the game so far but question......once in a while I will get a launch to the toybox while its closed.... is this normal? I'm not sure exactly when this happens but it scares the heck out of me.
Quoted from PoMC:Yes it is normal. If a lock isn’t lit for the toybox then the lid will not open.
OK. I assumed it would do the soft launch which I see most times vs sending it to the top of the toybox.

If you lock a ball and there is already a ball in the box from another player, it will launch into Jacky. I think it also does it randomly with a snarky comment from Jacky. Normal.

I posted details of the "random" launch into Jacky further up this thread ...

Thanks guys. Yes. I totally understand it now. Was happening mostly in 2 player. Wow is this game fun. I can totally understand why it took me a very long time to find one. Not too many come up for sale and I know why!
Got a new mod available in my Pinside shop for your Aerosmith Pin:

I just added Tilt graphics blades to the sides and wanted to let y'all know how nice they look over the stock black sides. I usually use Wizard mods blades but I liked the Tilt design better. The Tilt mod is a little glossy over the flatter finishing of Wizards and it's slightly annoying but not too bad. The Wizards are also slightly thicker but Tilt is thick enough .

How do u light the Special Ball Save on left side.
Aerosmith Pro.
Thank you.

I think on Aerosmith the Special only gets lit from a Mystery award. Very rarely comes up.
I do know if you play the game in Competition mode -- where the Mystery awards are a fixed sequence -- the Special is something like the 11th or 12th award in that sequence provided you light+collect the Mystery that many times a game.
And also the left outlane is NOT a ball save, Special lit or not, unless already active from something else (initial ball plunge, Elevator eject, etc.).
I think I just found a birthday surprise for my wife.

The VIP ball save is on the right and is lit by hitting both targets on each side of the toy box. There isn’t a ball save on the left.

Anything from Wizard is really nice quality and easy to install. I just added the speaker surround a few weeks ago..also to EHOH, IMDN, and GZ.
Working my way through the insider connected achievements and I'm making good progress - 48 of 60 completed.
One has me questioning how to approach it. A 60M walk this way... How would you approach this? My initial approach was to couple it with a Toys multiball but it seems like points scored during MB don't count toward the underlying song.
So...put a 2X multiplier on both ramps and go for combos? Am I missing an obvious angle to blow up this song?
thanks!
I like it. Looks good. Flows well with colour in That area/cabin.
I’m currently thinking about for armor.
A) Pearl white (80’s leisure suit style lol)
B) light Purple to bring out the Premium shades in the pro art.
A. Or. B ?
Quoted from pinballjah:Thoughts on this powder coating color for a Pro. Thanks.

I would think purple would be better of the two. What type of light purple you thinking? Thanks.
A little brighter blue option here:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/aerosmith-owner-then-walk-this-way/page/42#post-4626980
I was thinking the lighter shade of the purple.
The same colour is also around the shooter lane (microphone decal)

Quoted from JimKaz:Does anyone have a link to an Aerosmith Pro customized code? How about AC/DC? Thanks
You can PM me, I don't mind sharing. You have to use Win32 Disk Manager to burn the SD card for Aerosmith so the video changes will work ok. I also have a custom AC/DC Pro code where I have swapped out for Jailbreak, Shoot to Thrill and It's a Long Way to the Top.
just an fyi for aerosmith pin owners
I've started a thread for a concert ticket magnet that works for all of the concert pins. this was original created for rush tickets but I've expanded to make concert tickets for iron maiden, led zeppelin and aerosmith
just about everything can be customized on the ticket including ticket color, date, sec-row-seat, venue, presentor, price, ticket no.

Question.
Aerosmith Bus Mod With lights.
Lights have alligator clips.
What would you connect the lights to?
Thanks

The GI bulb of your choosing. Probably will need to cut a little of the black wrap around each lug so the clip has good contact.
pinballjah Sorry I didn’t respond sooner, I was able to source a version of 1.07 code that has 7 song videos swapped, Run DMC Walk This Way, etc, through a contact at the Delaware Pinball Collective. It’s great, wish it was 1.10 so I’d have better audio control. What version is yours? PM sent about the AC/DC code. I have that game too! Thanks!
If anyone wants my Motley Crue, Led Zeppelin or Rush mixes running the latest code, I can share those. Been playing just fine with Insider Connected.
I didn't do anything other than replace the songs, nothing fancy with song name and song artwork changes on the select screen. These mixes were just for me to enjoy different music at times.
Back in the group a few years after selling our pro, with a premium. Great game, more differences from the pro that I thought there were. Only issue I'm having is ball 70% of the time shoots past or too high at the toy box, didn't see a way to change in the settings, maybe I missed it. Any help is appreciated. Thx

There is a feature adjustment to control the strength (but it’s not in the manual).
That said, it usually figures itself out after a few shots. If it’s not doing that I would also check to make sure all three toybox optos are working in switch test. If they’re not, reseat the connection under the playfield. It tends to come loose (especially if you just moved the machine)

So, is there an adjustment in settings? It works every time, just too strong. I've only put 10 games on, but has not been accurate at all, pro I had was 95%. Thx,,,

Just joined the club and loving it. Game came with a few mods that I'd like to sell. Message me if interested and I can send pics
Drum set mod
Illuminated dice on flippers
4 aces, non led
I had my smart button plate redone to match the color I am doing the rest of the game in… its cerakote. Purple with sparkles. Bonds with the metal and does not show wear. They use it on guns so you can holster your weapon many many times and doesn’t wear off.
