Quoted from Sanfordpk:8)Sure does look nice, one of the many reasons I bought the LE. Mines comes tomorrow.
You're gonna love it! The Premium/LE 3 colored GI is like Metallica, and it really makes the playfield art pop. Best art package of any game I've had, plus it's a ton of fun!

Really? i didn't know it had the gi that cld change colors? That wld b the first full production spike system to do so i believe......
Quoted from kvan99:Fathom and Electra are top ten material IMO. Oh and that Atari Airborne Avengers is pretty awesome.
No doubt! I didn't think they make "real" mirrored backglasses any more.
If Stern actually listened, and this is fully ink screened and "old school" mirroring, I am impressed.
No more "wacky house" plastic vinyl sheets heat pressed and adhered to tempered glass.
I cannot tell from the photos the consistency, so I will just take the post for its base value.
There are many mirrored glasses to choose that proceed Aerosmith in terms of quality.
Most are hard to appreciate, unless they are directly in FRONT of your eyes.
BK2K is one of them, another is seen below.
I don't recall too many modern Sterns that were standouts, except perhaps SMB and STLE.
The most important is that they proper attenuate the playfield artwork.
Many games previous to 2012, did not.
Quoted from PanzerFreak:That's good. For another $1k+ over a premium model LE buyers should get something special.
Exactly. It's one of the reasons I like Kiss LE over the premium, the mirrored backglass is amazing.

Plus the powder coated armor!!

They aren't color changing, just the standard red/blue/white bulbs like Metallica/Kiss/AC DC.

Better then spending $3500 to get something special
I honestly like Translites better. Break a backglass and you are SoL. Break glass of translite and just replace the glass.
Quoted from TomGWI:I honestly like Translites better. Break a backglass and you are SoL. Break glass of translite and just replace the glass.
You should really try harder not to break them.
Quoted from o-din:You should really try harder not to break them.
I never have. But never say never. Has happened to friends of mine.

I've heard in Wisconsin it is best to avoid gambling...
Brad
Quoted from Kawydud:They aren't color changing, just the standard red/blue/white bulbs like Metallica/Kiss/AC DC.
Ok ....But does it go all blue or all red or all white during certain modes like on acdc, met, xmen. ? Thats what i meant by color changeing. If so it be the first spike system pin to do this i believe.
Quoted from jellikit:I've heard in Wisconsin it is best to avoid gambling...

I also heard from unconfirmed sources that Wisconsin is undeniably the absolute new world center for pinball knowledge, education, expertise, and wisdom among being the "Capital of Cow Tipping".
Everyone should clearly take market advice from this region.
Quite an accomplishment.
Who am I to argue?
Anyone on PinSide who disagrees is clearly wrong.

You don't even want to know what they say about people from IL.
I grew up in IL so I was shocked when I moved up here.
The gambling thing is a very serious subject here
Kudos to Spooky for also having a real backglass on Rob Zombie - and superb powder coated legs/rails.
The art's good, but there's an obvious problem with it in the photos posted here and elsewhere.
The glare and reflections.
It looks like it's been done on normal toughened glass. Not anti-glare, and certainly not anti-reflective glass or acrylic.
Cost saving, no doubt. Rather ruins it, IMO.
I haven't seen them side by side, but MoP and TWDLE don't seem anywhere near as bad in that regard .. or maybe it's the same, but just different colours etc have a different effect.

No problems with glare/reflections at all, no worse than any other mirrored BG in that regard.
It just looks awesome!!!
Quoted from Kawydud:They aren't color changing, just the standard red/blue/white bulbs like Metallica/Kiss/AC DC.
The GI does change colors as the 3 colors are individually controlled/wired - but the bulbs themselves are standard.
Quoted from MustangPaul:Is it real mirror or the new stuff that looks like mirror?
Real "Old School" Mirroring
Quoted from kvan99:Fathom and Elektra are top ten material IMO. Oh and that Atari Airborne Avengers is pretty awesome.
Airborne Avenger isn't mirrored, but Space Riders is.
