The pop bumper LED under the Beta Quadrant ramp in my STTNG is going out Thing is just 3-4 months old It flickers really bad and sometimes just shuts off entirely. It's the second LED to do that unfortunately. So I'm looking for a replacement.

Since that LED also illuminates the Beta ramp, I was curious what folks are doing in that section in terms of type and color for the LED used? When it works, it doesn't have the spread I would like - or at least I would like the light to fan off a bit better along the edges.

As I recall, it's a tight fit in that area so I assume I'm pretty limited, but would love some advice on what others have done!

Hmm good question! Sometimes the light changes due to ball bouncing around, but the flicker is pretty steady for the most part. When it was new, I hardly noticed it but it has been getting steadily worse. It now flickers maybe 3-5 times a second, but in a very paced way.

I thought it may have been some sort of bad connection, but it seems like an odd result because it's slower 30Hz. I had thought maybe a diode went out or something so it was only being half rectified, but it seems to flicker much too slowly for that.
