Is the correct upper position of movement of the flippers until the pink painted arear (see photo) or is it not important?
With my current coil stops the upper position is as on photo 2.

The gap between the flipper and the metal rod should be equal at rest position.
Adjusted correctly flippers shouldn’t travel over the black lines.

Yep, agreed, just restored one for a client, set that game the exact same way.

The flippers are adjusted so that the bottom part of the flipper (without rubber) aligns with the small holes in the playfield.
Is that not how they are supposed to be adjusted?

I agree, I hold a wire or nail into the alignment divot and hold the flipper against it as you tighten the flipper screws. I wouldn't use artwork as a guide myself. The snub rail is good for aligning the flipper parallel with it if a game doesn't have the alignment holes, and not all of them do.

But strange that upper position of the flippers isn´t defined. At least I can´t find anything about it.
I guess it is only by using diffent coilstops you can adjust the upper position then.
