    Hello,
I recently bought a Stern Shaker for my Star Wars comic pro, and unfortunately it's too violent, rattling a lot... I was very disappointed to see that the Stern settings only allow to adjust the frequency of the shaker triggers... and read on the pinside forums that apparently I can't even add a pwm modulator because it would fry a node board ??!
Looking at the below thread (thanks Blackbeard and Thunderbird !) it seems I have no choice but to unscrew one weight and set it at 180 degrees vs the other.

The trouble is... the screw is too tight. I tried with a torque driver and with Allen keys, vise grip pliers... No luck so far. Would anyone have further advice to help me solve this ?
    Thanks a lot !

Spray the hex screw with some pbblast or even wd40 and let it soak a little while. The screw is on tight for obvious reasons, but it will come off. Make sure you use the exact size so you don’t strip it. I’ve used vise grips in the past as leverage on the hex wrench to loosen the screw.

Thanks Lermods , that was great advice !
Letting it soak with WD40 I finally managed to get it off afterwards, using a torx screwdriver. \o/
I'm a bit confused though regarding putting the weight at a 180° angle from the opposite weight : the screw is made to enter a tiny hole on the rotating axis, which is only on one side... So unless I'm mistaken, I will screw it back as best I can but it won't fit as snugly since it won't be entering any hole ?

Aaand.... I eventually realized that I could turn each weight by 90 degrees and use the other hole in each weight. Problem solved
