So I've had my congo for awhile now, and always felt that it was missing something. I mean a volcano erupts and all. that pin should shake like hell.
So searching I found this excellent post by markmon
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/congo-shaker-motor-turorial
But the sad news was pinbits.com was always out.
So eventually I was able to pick up a cheap shaker + board from a Jurassic Park.
Tried the board and no go, also tried using an adruino, but it has been quite a long time since I worked with circuits.
Then I found the PIG2 from dkpinball.com and got it, the power tap and wiring kit. Was pretty Easy to install. Tied it to the volcano flashes and the perimeter defense flasher.
Had to have Mike help me with configuring it as they hadn't uploaded anything yet to the wiki, and there are some new commands and considerations to take into account. He was great to work with and very helpful. Didn't mind the questions and was always prompt on the emails. Though He might regret that as I am getting a list of more questions/suggestions right now.
The combo works great, and now I get a very satisfying shake and rumble. Maybe a little too much, but like I said, it is a volcano. That baby needs to shake and rumble across the room if I could. Going to include some eye candy of what I got and did.
