I have a NOS Stern Stars play field that has no holes/dimples. Looking to make a template off another playfield before I send it off to get cleared and had a question about how big and deep I should drill holes.

The older sterns don't use bolts/t-nuts for any of the wire guides or posts but screws. Do I just match the size of the hole the screw makes or do I make it smaller? Same question with the wire lane guides. Here are a few pictures of what I am talking about.

How deep do I make the hole?
