I have seen a few posts on 'how to', but I still have questions:
WOZ shaker motors are no longer available at JJP - and cost $200 when they were available. So I got one from Pinball Life.
I got the model with the 100uF cap because the JJP one has that cap.
I assume I discard the external PCB. As far as I can tell, that is used only for Stern pins because they connect to 20V and the motor is 12V. The board consists of 2 diodes in series with the motor, fuses and a 1 ohm resistor. Since JPP supplies 12V, that seems to not be needed - although adding the fuse might be nice. Is this correct?
The other problem I am having is figuring which side of the circuit the 100uF cap to ground goes? If connected to 12V side, the cap is always charged. If on the other side, the cap discharges when the motor is turned on, and charges when it is turned off.
On the Sterns, the cap appears to go on the control side. True?
