If it makes you feel any better, as a diehard GNR fan, I always found the sound quality on the GNR machine to be less than ideal - Welcome To The Jungle was obviously re-recorded/edited, and then compressed down to fit on the chips and whatnot I'm sure. Might be unavoidable. Of course if it sounds WORSE than stock, then you're dealing with other issues of course.
