Thats a neat game! We bought one in when used slightly for $8k. It was for a movie theatre. Would do gangbusters for 6 months until being moved. Brought to MN fair. It did $2400+ for the 12 days. Great showpiece game in the day. Even had a printer. Lots of game specific stuff on that piece.

    Those are cool, want!

    #6 4 years ago

I played one once. I was disappointed it didn't actually shock you. It really surprises me that thing was a good earner.

    #7 4 years ago

Nice photos--I've never seen inside one of these before

    Quoted from SealClubber:

I played it once and thought it was kind of disappointing. Never played it again. It sure is an eye-catcher, though, so maybe that's how it attracts quarters.

    #8 4 years ago

I don't think it shocks you just vibrates.

    #9 4 years ago

Yes surely lot of problem with parts But i am lucky i bought 3 of them so i have some spare parts. After i finished i can sell the rest of the games... Maybe it is soo cost efficient... Tommorow i will go with the empty cabinet to a place where the game will get a new side art

    #10 4 years ago

Played one at Gameworks - Las Vegas in 2001. Loved it.

    #11 4 years ago

Neat game and very popular. I have one, but it died last year due to acid damage on main board. Didn't know it had a battery on it, or I would have removed/replaced sooner. I do have a lead on a parts machine with a good mpu, and need to get the smoke machine part of it working. Nice job so far on your restoration.
If you get side art made, you may want to see about making a few extra sets, as some of us may be interested in purchasing them.

I remember playing a game like this but it was an actual chair you sat in and every level it would scream. Not sure if I'm remembering wrong or it was a knock off of this one. Either way very unique and pretty cool

    Electrifying !!!!!!

    #27 2 years ago

What type of plasma DMD is that, I'm guessing 64x32? Can you still find these?

    #28 2 years ago

I never realized this was a rare game. The Bayview Inn restaurant down in Wildwood Crest has one of these (and has had it for many years). I never played it because they always had good pinball machines in their arcade there I'd rather pump my money into. Cool stuff though!

    #29 2 years ago

I read before that the software on these has not been decoded.
if the battery dies the encryption is lost for ever.
    is that true?

    #30 2 years ago

Does the smoke come out of Fester's ears? I didn't see that listed. A friend of mine has one of these, but has problems with the smoke feature.

    Show us a video?

Yes main board is a big problem. Hard to find and expensive to repair it....

    #33 2 years ago

Yes i am planning to do a quality video about this game

Smoke feature isnt a big problem... You need a right smoke unit, and check the servo motor.

I received some question maybe these infos would be neccesary for everyone:

the easiest way to get the necessary items are the original manufacturer, Nova Productions, in England. Email address is available on their website, but it will be much faster and easier to make a phone call.

About the smoke element, you'll need a Seuthe 500 Super Smoke generator, with the matching smoke fluid (oil), this particular smoke generator is originally for model trains. I'll recomend to replace the pipes, and the smoke fluid tank, too, the original one is highly tend to rust from the inside, which will leads to leaking, and its 99% sure the fluid will find its way to the control board (Nova Productions still has refurbished ones, and they can repair them, too, for a huge price).

These guys can be also helpful about repairs:

    http://webpages.charter.net/coinopcauldron/shocker.html

About the leds, we used simple T10 socket, 12V leds, they fed from DC voltages, the plastic domes for them are from williams pinball machines, if you need any pics or part numbers, I can check our machines about such infos.

Sadly, I don't hava any original manual or schematics, and I doubt that such thing is even exists.

Could you post a link to their website? There's more than a few places named "Nova Productions"
