Are you reading the same thread as me? This whole thread is the reason NOT to do it. Good on the OP for trying and it is entertaining. But no way in hell would I want to do this. Lololol

You really need to get a complete Addams to compare yours too. Crazy you even got this far. Good luck man.
Quoted from Shredder565:So, now that the bottom is amazingly nearing completion.. how many of you thought I would never get this far? . be honest .,
I'm still not sure why you're even doing it lol, but it's def interesting to see you plow ahead.
Quoted from Shredder565:this is the grand finale with prop/game building . Retiring .
the ONLY other one I would love too do is TNG.
Just buy one or restore one. Making one from scratch makes zero sense and you'll have a shittier final product too, new parts or not.
Ya you're crazy for even trying. I mostly know what I'm doing and I wouldn't attempt it. Even doing a full restore would be very hard for a rookie.
Quoted from MiniPinHead:Debatable
What’s worse about one from scratch? The new playfield? The new boards? The new cabinet? The new wiring? The new solder joints? The new plastics? The new back glass? The new lamps? The new rubbers? The new assemblies and mechs? The new hardware and screws? The new playfield glass? The new coin door? The new speakers? My gosh… almost forgot… the new pinballs? And you really can go on…
But more seriously, genuinely curious on why you think a scratch build with new parts is worse than a full game with the equivalent restored or replaced? It seems like a revitalization is a revitalization, a restore is a restore, and a scratch build is a scratch build, and they all have their place
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.
The person doing the scratch build matters.
Quoted from LORDDREK:There is no way you read all 76 pages and made this post.
Exactly. 1000%
Quoted from Shredder565:-Edit - PinballNero is getting something for all his help. We figured out the issue, I think.
Maybe I'll send him an AtGames Virtual Pinball machine or something .
I wouldn't take one of those for free.
