Awesome progress. Very inspirational. I plan on attempting the same thing with TOTAN soon.

Quoted from Shredder565:not so much loosing interest as not enough money . had to wait a month or so for funds to slowly build back up
That's what has held me back from attempting a TOTAN scratch build. Lamp assembly alone is $650.
Quoted from mjr:That's what I was getting at about how most people won't find a scratch build to be a good way to Beat The System on collector pricing. If you're going to look at the time you spend on it as work, and you're going to prepare a bill at your hourly rate to charge to the project cost center, this really isn't your kind of project. You'll come out ahead by finding the most deluded price gouger on eBay and offering 10% over asking. You have to look at the time on it as entertainment time, the same way you wouldn't send Marvel a bill for two hours of your salary every time you sit through a superhero movie.
Threads like this one fire me up. Great job on the Addams scratch build.
Quoted from Davi:Yes - flasher PCB's are on the way to USA (to pinballinreno).
Free of charge - it's my contribution to your project.
Quoted from pinballinreno:If you give up on your build, Sell it to me! Sounds like a great challenge.
Quoted from Shredder565:next thing on the list. little plastic tabs too hold the lights and signs on?[quoted image]
Quoted from Shredder565:ordered a battery pack for the back box lights
A battery pack for the back box lights? What does that do?
Quoted from Shredder565:half soldered! ran out of 9v's again. man, those things don't last long.

for anyone interested, SNES classic modded
Quoted from pinballinreno:I buy all of my pins and connector housings from Newark.
If you need a part number let me know.
Quoted from Pooman2084:More wire means more heat dissipation making it harder to solder.
You need to stop wrapping the wire through holes and tin them, using a little more solder to connect.
You should never have big blobs of solder nor exposed wiring.
Quoted from fattmatt1972:That comes down to poor soldering technique and should not happen.
If twisted and soldered correctly there should be no bits to poke through the finished and heat shrunk joint.
As I said I have been doing this for 35 years and my soldered heat shrunk joints are a thing of beauty, but again each to their own.At least we agree on that, it looks hideous.
Matt.
