I'd love to know what your shipping expense for all your parts at the end of this project. Keep up the good work, it's really coming along.

Quoted from Shredder565:I think you can fund a small country with it, but don't take my word
You're attitude is fantastic.
Looks good so far, congratulations on making it this far. Are you going to turn the start button 90 degrees? That would bug the shit out of me.
Quoted from pinballinreno:Im using this tool with great results.
You can do double wire insertions as well as small gauge wire. If the crimp looks loose, just quickly re-crimp on the next smaller cutout.
The ratchet crimper holds the pin so you can insert the wire into the pin and then crimp it down:

See a proper crimper in action:
That's a great video explaining the process, thanks.
I don't do a lot of wiring, but for those of you that do, is it better to solder wires together like that or use some type of a splice connector? It seems like a lot of exposed wire that needs to be covered.
Keep going you're almost there. You've made quite the progress.
Quoted from setzkor:It looks to me like the "too much solder" may have caused you to melt the case of the switch itself. The plastic looks deformed suggesting you had too much heat on it for too long (or too close to the bottom). As said before, tin (aka put a bit of solder on) the switch leaf and the wire, then press the two together. While I doubt you did any damage here, it's something to keep an eye on moving forward.
It also looks like there may be some excess solder splatter on the bracket itself that would concern me.
Quoted from Pooman2084:For the sake of all that’s holy, check for shorts before plugging the new boards in!
What's the fun in that. I like the cross your fingers and close your eyes route.
Quoted from MiniPinHead:Then finish J133 so you can go to the bar and break out that serious nerd flex. She might not know what you're talking about, but she'll still dig you for it. More impressive than saying you broke 1 billion points on the latest Stern with stock outlanes
Quoted from Pooman2084:It’s is a indisputable fact that all the best women insist on pristine and perfect J113s.
Now you're just going to confuse him.
Quoted from Coyote:Diode direction_ looks good to me? The cathode should be the lamp rows/red wires, no?
I think the problem is the red wire is on the wrong lug. The diode needs to be reversed and the red wire needs to go on the other lug.
I would have swore we went over this a month ago or so. I remember someone made the comment it was wrong and I thought they could have been more descriptive. Then realized they provided enough information so even I could figure it out. I can’t find that conversations though. Maybe it was in a different thread.
I found the conversation I was referencing before. This should reinforce what pinballinreno is saying.

Quoted from ASAC_Schrader:Curious how much money is in this thing now........
Probably 10k by St. Patrick’s Day.
That’s a bad enough joke to be moderated.
