Not that your selling .... but at least with this surge in pricing you should be able to get every penny you put in if ever for sale.

Well, more of a greasy pit of despair that caught on fire and was thrown in a lake....
But yeah, at least its a pattern to build from...
What Shredder565 is working on is impressive to say the very least!
So, trying to get back into thinking about this.

Where are you getting these part numbers? A lot of this looks wrong.
A-1507, A-114970: don't exist
A-14285: this is a FH part
A-14964: you only need one, not 4
etc, etc

You might want to double check against the BOM. You definitely don't need to order two A-15047 for example.

Bill of materials.
I think you are reading the manual wrong switch assembly vs switch part number
I guess switch assembly just says what the switch should be attached to

It's a long plain text file that is ... a boring bunch of characters and numbers.
An assembly is a complete functional unit. It is built from parts described as part numbers.
Assemblies are usually in the format of "letter - number+number+number+number+optional_number".
The assemblies are often A-15XXX or B-13XXX or C-12XXX.
Part numbers are usually in the format of "number+number+number+number - number+number+number+number+number - number+number".
The part number often begin with something like 5768-XXXXX-YY or 5764-XXXXX-YY or other variations.
Every part has a part number from machine screws to resistors on a circuit board.
Don’t bother with the raw text BOM, use this:
https://www.moll.no/pinball/jsparts/TAF.php
You can very often build an assembly yourself from individual parts much cheaper than you can buy the complete assembly. Assuming you optimize shipping costs by placing fewer larger orders, of course.
I put the entire BOM for each game I’m building into Excel and price out every single part. Looks like serial killer stuff but it’s worked well for me and I pay very little shipping.
That is awesome. For the truly nerdy. No sarcasm here.
Quoted from radium:I put the entire BOM for each game I’m building into Excel and price out every single part. Looks like serial killer stuff but it’s worked well for me and I pay very little shipping.
Wow. I thought I was the only crazy that built spreadsheets with wads of information. I do this for electronic parts but it's the same principle and it's generic enough that it can cover hardware and mechanical stuff. I actually started doing this because I kept forgetting to purchase stuff from merchants so I use it as a queuing mechanism for merchants as well.

yes, I've been going by the switch assembly number. not sure if I used the other number, it would come up on marco. never really tried.
Still not dead. just still waiting for funds to get stabalized. latest part to fail was the work motherboard and graphics card...sigh. never ends.
I think what I can do in the meantime is get some of the parts done that I DO have ready.. like these..
279975983_10159608873260211_1466403441669106563_n (resized).jpgWell, we made alot of good headway in a VERY short time, under two years. But now funds are an issue still. NOW Hoping for a July start up to try and finish this sucker.
Cabinet is complete. we have all the wires we need. Bottom playfield is about 85% complete. Top needs the most work now. Maybe it's easier to finish the top now and go back to the bottom later.

Wow. Sorry but I just got a halfy on that. Amazing ! !
YAY! Some things finally sold on amazon after sitting there for about a month. Credit should be on track now for july restart. Not sure if I should finish full steam the bottom side, or switch over to the top for a change of pace.

when you drive do wn a local road and think you see a sign that says video game repair...look it up, and say 'I did, I DID see that sign!'
this any of you folks?
Ok, where to get a Backbox metal mounting plate for mounting all the boards. Actually need for a Twilight Zone. Actually need the whole head, but my get it made locally.
I can't remember if it was a file someone uploaded and I sent it to send cut send, or someone was nice enough to do a run and I manged to get one. Thinking it was more of the latter. But it's been a while . almost two years on this!
Finally getting the bumpers 100% finished by monday. One kicker installed. feels good to be making some kind of progress again .
We need one in this area.

I just duplicated the layout for WPC-95 and will likely be doing the same for WPC-89 in the near future. I'll post up once both are available.
a b it of an update. All but one of the lower playfield parts are installed.
Just put in a huge marco order for my remaining switches. Just can't seem to find 6 of them. then when those are in, that will be complete. next, I will tackle the missing lights. and should have a mostly complete lower playfield.

This is my first post after researching “scratch builds” and a Google search brought me here. Just wanted to let you know that I’m following your build now and cheering you on. What a project to take on but the feelings of pride and accomplishment that you’ll get upon completion will make it so worth it.
I rebuilt a 25’ pontoon boat from scratch a few years ago. I replaced everything but the outboard and the pontoons and while it was 1M times easier than what you are doing here, I still look at her with pride. Can’t wait to see your finished TAF table!
I just completely tore apart my twilight zone and took hundreds of pictures. Now my phone crashed and I lost everything. I would think it would be documented somewhere as twilight zone is very popular like the Addams family.

this is where I need the most attention . we are now past the bigger items and getting into the tinier, many to place items that can get me flustered fast. especially when the switches get here. With those done, and most of the playfield done....there's alot more that could be forgotten or go wrong, or get too much focus on.
and getting so close, i'm also getting anxious to play it too . I want to get the lights fired up next .
So, probably getting some parts double, minus the big pieces, but also ordred a complete book case assembly so I know I have the right parts. just missing H-15227 and H-15229. Also Found NOS on Lower playfield part #3, so that SHOULD complete all lower playfield parts. then I can concentrate on switches and lights.
except for 3 screws, and theTwo H's, a complete order of book case parts. had to substitute some other screws from amazon , so hope they are the right ones.

So, except for two cables, we should now have a COMPLETE book Case. And a COMPLETE Thing finally.
All the Lower Playfield parts should be COMPLETE by next week.
Once I get the mounting brackets and diodes in, most of the switches should be IN minus 6 or so.
THEN, all I have to do is focus on the remaining missing lights. Maybe I should wire those up and fire it on just to have something pretty to look at.
Quoted from Shredder565:found the right page for the diverter drive
Just in case you aren't aware, there is a somewhat obscure support bracket for the diverter. Kerry at mantis made some. https://mantispinball.com/product/the-addams-family-diverter-support-bracket/ . Hopefully you already know about this one.
Keep going! You are doing great!

actually, I think this is the one I was missing. A-15040 diverter assembly. #3 on the lower playfield part list.

This Marco part is for the coil and actuation assembly (coil, crank, spring etc.). The part I am talking about is the vertical one that connects to the playfield and to the ramp that keeps the diverter shaft supported. Hopefully the picture helps.

Ahh, so THAT is what that one part is for, I wasn't sure how it connected. But yeah, I got that one already

ordered. thanks
So, the only real thing left is lower playfield part number three's main bracket mount that I can't find. once I make sure everything is properly aligned and where it should be, the only thing left to do is remaining switches, lights, and wiring. THEN I can finally flip it over and work on the top.
ordered the New Old Stock Diverter part. $149. when that gets here, the Lower PLayfield parts will be complete. I've decided to hand make the bookcase cables. the electricians in the office have to be good for something, after all. and when that's done, all that's left is switches and lights.
so, while I wait for the last piece of new old stock to arrive,
what part am I missing here? The coil just moves at the slightest touch, so clearly I am missing a securing bracket for that, but I can't seem to figure out which one from the manual. looks like I have all they listed.

hmm, that's how I had it originally, but I flipped it around so the short end was facing right side. it looked like it would just fall out of the thing if I left it the other way.
