This is probably a 5v MPU reset issue. It happens when the 5v supply voltage for the MPU dips too low, causing the game to reset. The dip is usually caused by a large power draw combined with aging/failing components.
It's common for the WPC system, but can be potentially caused by several things, so there's a lengthy troubleshooting procedure to test everything:

There is an inexpensive board that you can buy that may fix the issue but at the very least will confirm for you that it’s a 5v issue (which it almost certainly is).

It works. But only masks a problem that is better fixed. It may get worse.

Yes. It is a band-aid. What do you mean by worse? My understanding is that the game is shutting itself off to deal with the problem...so you’re not damaging or degrading anything bu installing the daughter card.

Connectors not doing a good job any more. Electrical components failing. Traces or solder joints weakening. These things if present don't get better over time.

Good points. These are things that are happening to the machine regardless.
Thanks to all that replied.
The issue turned out to be low line voltage. Had to many machines and lights on one circuit. Moved the Addams Family to another circuit and worked perfectly!

I've had mine in congo for 6 years still works great.
So I can spend time fixing a working game or use my time fixing non working games.
I'm happy with the daughter board
