A local arcade has an Addams Family that has been down for a while. This is what the tech told me (with pics):

(first pic) "The resistor under r2 keeps burning out, we believe it is responsible for the transistor that controls the upper right flipper on Adams family. We are aware it's not an exact matching resistor but it was pretty close and mostly for testing purposes. The previous ones that were a match burned out as well and broke one of the sub transistors under q7"

(second pic) "Back of the board in the same area"

What have you tested so far? R2 is part of the power side to move the flipper and q7 us part of the hold circuit for the flipper. With both having been worked on.. Did you test the flippers coil resistance? It should be fairly easy to compare the ohm readings on a working flipper coil versus the one not working. The fact that parts from both sides are damaged seem to point to the coil itself. Since the same circuit is used to drive all the flippers, you can easily take readings from one part of the circuit and compare to another. After you've compared the coil resistance between 2 flipper coils there's only a handful of parts used in the driving circuit. Few transistors, few resistors, diode, that's it. Here are 2 pictures, one of the exact circuit your trying to fix, connected to pins 4 and 6 and the circuit for the left upper flipper, connected to 1 and 3.
