Hi all,

I have a TAF problem and don't know where to start. When I flip the power button, the machine makes a loud popping noise though the speakers, the dmd remains black, no graphics whatsoever. All of the lights on the playfield come on but if you hit the start button nothing happens. I turned the machine off shortly after this happened, checked all of the fuses to see that none are blown. Turned the machine back on with the same result.

What should I start looking for? The machine has a brand new Fliptronics II board and all of the flipper coils have been replaced very recently.

Thanks!! The ribbon cable was a bit loose. I unseated it and reconnected, checked all of the other ribbon cables to make sure they are correctly placed and the problem still remains. A loud popping noise. I have a Rottendog WPC board in place and when this happens several of the red LEDs light up and slowly glow dim. The LEDS are located next to the +20 v, + 18V, + 12v d.
