I just completed putting together an addams family, that I am unsure if it ever worked (I purchased it in pieces). I am very close to being finished, with one issue:
I have tried twice to test the chair kickout coil - it blows the driver board transistor. After replacing the transistor the first time, I tested it again tonight, a spark fell from under the playfield, coil locked on and transistor is toast. The coil is an AE-26-1200. It has no diode. From what I can tell, it is wired correctly (2 Violet/Yellow wires on one lug, one Violet/Brown on the other). When I measure the resistance out of circuit, it is 12.5 ohms. I found a table online that says it should be about 10.9 ohms. I would think this is close enough. Anyone recommend anything other than just replacing the coil and hoping it cures my problem? Or other places to look? It is a brand-new rottendog driver board.
Thanks-
