I have been doing black wafers in place of red on Addams for years but this is the first one I have truly done in all black. If things don't change in the parts market I doubt there will be too many more TAF restorations since most need a lot to be fully restored cosmetically and the parts that were made are drying up..

really nice!

Inside.
BTW I know there is one screw missing from the right lower flipper bracket. It collides with a screw from the top so it was left out on purpose.

Amazing stuff as usual Chris!

Why do I get the distinct impression that we are going to start seeing a lot of people doing their TAFs all black soon? The black looks sweet on TAF.

#7 10 years ago

Pure pinball porn. Would love to own something you restored one day Chris.

#8 10 years ago

Ridiculously Awesome.

#10 10 years ago

Mr. Clean would be jealous.

Took me a while to figure out what you meant by wafers. Someday my Addams needs to make it your way for restoration. Gorgeous.

#13 10 years ago

You chromed the Thing mechanics housing? That is funny, and awesome.

#14 10 years ago

Looks amazing. The black is great.

#15 10 years ago

A work of art....

#16 10 years ago

Your work never ceases to amaze me, this thing is beautiful. The all black looks great.

#17 10 years ago

Beautiful. That makes me almost want another TAF.

#18 10 years ago

I love how your playfields look like they're backprinted pieces of glass. I need to send you my TAF playfield at some point. I'm not ready for a full resto yet, but at least the playfield can be perfect until that time comes.

#19 10 years ago

Stunning. Just, wow.

#20 10 years ago

Looks AMAZING! This is pretty much the exact same thing I want for my TAF when I redo it after it comes back from going on route.

green flipper bats and black rubbers would look better

#22 10 years ago
Quoted from WIZ:

green flipper bats and black rubbers would look better

When you restore a pin to the quality that HEP does you can put whatever color flipper bats you want on your machine...

Quoted from MinusWorlds:

Also, WIZ is objectively incorrect. Looks better as-pictured with black bats and green rubbers.

I did my TAF all black, including topper, last August. I'm really happy with the way it turned out.

Pardon my ignorance but, wafers?

Perfectly color-matched start button is a classy touch.

Man.....amazing, just amazing!!! great job!!!

The bottom part of the pop bumpers.

#33 10 years ago

It doesn't even seem possible...it's become art, so beautiful.

#34 10 years ago

Beautiful! My Addams is crying out to get that treatment now.

Not a big fan of MM in black, but this just fits in my opinion.
