hi

I recently aquired an addams family. The dmd was nice and bright. I played about 10 games before the DMD power board burnt up. I ordered a rottendog replacement. Worked for about 10 more games before it started blowing fuses (the board's regulator blew up). Replaced with a 2n rottendog board. it worked for about 3 games before all the dots were lighting up.

I measured the incoming voltages on the left connector of the DMD board and my -115 was at -165. I'm sure this is probably the problem, but i don't know how to solve it. also, i'm wondering if i've ruined my DMD?

I talked to Jim at rottendog. he said the incoming -165 voltage is too high for their boards. He offered to rebuild the board (again) or give me my money back. Seeing as how playing this game with no DMD really sucks I'm forced to find a solution.

to finish this issue, i decided to buy a colordmd system that totally bypasses the high voltages of the controller dmd. problem solved!..for $400
