Any of you Modder's experiencing extremely high price increases on Acrylic or any other plastics? Covid increased the price because of the "sneeze" shields that were in demand and it was about 40% last year. NOW my supplier has gone up to almost 100% since before covid. The yard sign guys are going to get even harder hit at about 120% increase since before covid.

So, if your looking for something for your pinballs from the modders I suggest picking it up sooner than later before we all restock and see the prices double.

Just looking for any thoughts on this topic since I just dropped a small fortune on Acyrlic and it was not even that much material.

There is a shortage of plastics coming out of the Texas area due to the weather. Many production plants are shut down. From what I read, COVID had actually deepened the inventory - until now.

Yea, everyone filed force majeure. Only pellets I’m aware coming in are from Canada.

A set of plastics I had in my cart at Marco went up $20. If it was market related we'll never know.

I work for an underground waterworks supply company. Our PVC pipe suppliers told us last week 80% of the resin plants in Texas and LA. were closed and pipe prices were going up.

Wiring I use has gone up over 50%.

Parts I use to create the fire effect for ACNC and TMNT went up 2.5X+ in the USA (from $4 each to $10-12 each [was $12 earlier into Covid], and the process to modify them for modding can damage them). I tried to get another 200 out of China, and it took over 3 months to find I'd get about 5 of the branded part I ordered, then a bunch of unusable knockoffs (white box) with the wrong effect (slower/dimmer) and near impossible to dismantle without damage for modding.

Just put in a new order for the PET plastic I use for several mods, and surprisingly the price is actually a fair bit cheaper (compared to Jan. 2020 from my last bulk order).
