Quoted from Rarehero:

8's a flood? 8's dumping? Have some perspective. They probably made close to 10,000 between all models. 8 is a blip.

849 Pinsiders own a AC/DE Prem/LE and 8 are for sale now and 3 sold since the April 1st. Percentage wise it's small and doesn't seem like much however 8 at one time does seem higher then normal. A lot of people sold Tron/IM before the re-runs just as they did MM/AFM before the remakes so I'm not surprised to see this happen now with the hint of a AC/DC VE. People have always claimed AC/DC wouldn't be a VE because of the licensing costs however I think when Stern sees how much they are selling for now on the secondary market and the profit they can make they will reconsider.

Quoted from OLDPINGUY:

What this does for me, personally, is unless my better judgement is pushed aside, all NIB will depreciate, not sure of rate, but I can only think of cars, I will wait for a HUO at a significant discount.

The hobby was this way for a long time until recently when everyone who buys NIB expects it to go up in price or worst case break even. Case in point:

Quoted from DeeGor:

it kind of sucks as a collector knowing that your Stern machine will likely never raise in value much beyond the MSRP.
