Just a little sumthin I've been working on for about a week. I bought the display off ebay and milled out the aluminum box on my buddies milling machine. I'm not much of a machinist, so it took me several days to make the box out of blocks of aluminum. I still have to mount a switch on the right ramp. Every time you shoot the right ramp, it will change to a different display. I'm beginning to think I should call this pin OCDC.

No way, no how, not happening. LOL If I quit my job and devoted my life to making these, I could maybe get production speed up enough that I could earn $5 per hour. LOL If someone, smarter than me, could crank out the aluminum boxes on a CNC mill, they might be able to sell this mod at a price that people would pay. Here is a link to the display on ebay. There is no documention on how the software works, but the seller provides pretty good answers to questions by email.

It comes with all those views already programmed in, EXCEPT the view that has their name on it. I had to do a little bit of computer work to get that single channel spectrum analyzer to show in full color. With the software, you can delete out whichever ones you don't want.

I considered mounting it in the apron, but I decided it might be too much of a distraction while you're watching the flippers.

The wiring is easy. You just hook up 2 power wires and 2 wires to the speaker wires. Then you adjust the sensitivty in software. If you want to make the display change with each ramp shot, there is a little bit of soldering to do, but it's not difficult.

Here's an update. I got the switch all mounted and wired. I had to play with the adjustment a bit to get it so it didn't do another switch close when the gate swings back. I got it so it works perfect. Now each time you shoot the right ramp, the display changes to a different type of view. This is how I mounted it. The only place to get the 2-56 X 3/4" screws is Fastenal.

It turns out you can use this thing for a slide show as well.

I'm still working on the adjustments, but here's a short vid of what I have so far.

Theoretically, the screen board should be able to be removed from the main board. The boards are connected together with male and female type ribbon cable connectors. So, you could probably remove the female connector, solder in male pins and use a ribbon cable to connect the boards. That's not going to gain you a lot of room, but it should gain some. The screen itself could possibly be removed from the board, but I don't know how it's connected.
