So last night my AC/DC right flipper just stopped working. So I made sure it's not the button itself (it wasn't) so next I go check the fuse. Yup, blown. I pop in another fuse, turn it on and the right flipper now activates for a few seconds by itself, then nothing. Blown again. Just did a searc and read in another thread with a similar problem that it could be a blown transistor. I tried to find where the location of that transistor was in the manual, but my I can't seem to be able to find it for the life of me. Anyone know where this is on AC/DC and if this does indeed sound like a blown transistor? Thanks in advance!

Blown transistor. What ever the manual says the coil number is, will be the transistor number, on the big board in the head.

LTG : )

Thank you!! Found it. Q16. Where can I buy a transistor? This is the first time I've had this happen.

Very common issue. IRL540 should do the trick. Make sure your replacement has the "L" in the part number.

Oh excellent. Thank you for that. Any particular place to pick one up?

Have you ever done board repair. Dont hack one up for the sake of time.

Also what took it out , were you holding the flipper up too long or other issues.

Ahh. Alrighty, I'll go there then. Thank you yet again!

Holding flipper too long. I've done board work before. THIS particular thing, no. But I am pretty anal about making sure everything looks professional and neat and is done correctly. Always up for tips though.
