I meant something physical to put in the top left where the train goes. Something that relates to Dirty Deeds as I have replace that song with Dirty Deeds already.

My wife brought home these AC/DC beers from Germany and I finally got my flyer signed

Those are cool! Nice find! Now what was she doing in Germany without you?

#454 4 years ago

I've been a times but she travels for work.

#455 4 years ago
Quoted from Darscot:

Did you buy it as parts individually? I saw a thread on that here but it seemed rather pricey to buy that way? I just have the swinging bell mod on my original run pro and I'm pretty happy with it but maybe its time to upgrade.
Also on the topic of the train mod is there any good mod to for those that replace that song with Dirty Deeds?

Hi Darscot - I did. There's a few parts (washers, etc.) that probably aren't necessary for you to buy from a distributor (meaning you could find them laying around your house/toolboxes). Had it to do over again, I'm not sure I'd install the limiter since the Premium doesn't have it and lack of it doesn't seem to impede gameplay.

For reference, here's the Vault Pro swinging bell assembly and the corresponding part numbers:

ACDC-Pro-Swinging-Bell-Assembly (resized).pngACDC-Pro-Swinging-Bell-Assembly (resized).png

Do make sure you order the e-clips and nyliner bushings if you don't already have some on hand. They are also available from PBL (likely cheaper than from Stern).

Has anyone replaced the rubbers on their AC/DC? The ones located under the ramp seem hard to get at. Even the front bumpers are not easy with the cannon. Thanks.

Never. How many plays are on you machine that you need to replace them?

Quoted from newpinbin:

Like to change over to red, never like the standard black that come with most games. Usually cheap quality and other colors make it easier to know when the game needs a cleaning.

Quoted from newpinbin:

Well the game came out 8 years ago. So even without a lot of plays, on an older copy it might be getting time to freshen things up.

#460 4 years ago

What are you guys using for rubber replacement? I was just thinking about this the other day and might place an order with Titan - reds. I’ve used them before, but I’m still mixed on whether I like them or standard rubbers.

#461 4 years ago

I used too get my rubber from Titan, LEDs from Comet or Pinball Bulbs but now I pretty much get everything from Pinball Life. I really like their coloured rubber.

Hey guys- on my AC/DC I have the lamp under the Tour Multiball insert staying on weakly when you start the game. Very odd and just wondering if anyone else has had this occur and if so what was the solution

My tour multiball insert light flickers evertime I press the flippers. Never been able to find out why.

#464 4 years ago

Shorts or bad connections maybe. I would take a look at the connectors and reseat them. Just something to try.

#465 4 years ago

One of the best games ever. Played this for two hours straight!

#466 4 years ago

All this playing has now caused several playfield lights to illuminate when I press the flipper buttons. Any ideas how to fix this?

Well that’s an odd problem. Can you elaborate? Which lights? Do the go out when you let go? Does switch test show anything odd when you hit the flipper buttons?

Has anyone replaced the songs on their Pro using Pinball Browser? I have started to update the songs on my game, but had a couple initial questions. Does anyone have a current list of the Request numbers for each song on the game? I'm not sure if this changes with each code update. I was told that Request 201 was for the song that plays when the game ends (after the match sequence). I replaced Request 201 with "Shoot to Thrill" and it does work but it seems to be playing Request 200, which is in the middle of the song. Also, one of the songs at the start of the game was also replaced with "Shoot to Thrill" when I only updated Request 201. Any idea why this is happening?

I was also thinking of doing a short video to show those interested how to change the songs on their Pros, if anyone would be interested. Specific for AC/DC users. You do need to pay 20 Euro to get a licence if you want to replace any songs. You just pay the fee once. Thanks.

I'm sure a lot of us have it's just been a while. What ever DRM like encryption he is using, my license quit working and started nagging me to pay again and I just haven't bothered so I can't help you out.

Me too. Honestly, I've given up dicking around with Pinball Browser. I used to change a song or two. But now I'm just going to enjoy the games as they were created.

These are the song I have in mine I’m sure I have the firmware around here somewhere if anyone wants it.

Thanks for the response. I was interested to know how you got the requests to work in sequence given the first request is only 7.500 seconds. If anyone has a code file they be willing to share, that be great.

#474 3 years ago

Ok I found my old files and it looks like I have the firmware for above and that versions has these for encore Its a long way to the top / Who made who / Shoot to thrill / If you want blood

I also have alternate version with these songs Who Made Who, Shook me all night, Highway to Hell, TNT, Shake A Leg, Can I sit Next to you Girl, Dirty Deeds, Thunderstruck, Hells Bells, Shoot to Thrill, Problem Child, Let there be Rock and Encore is Its a long way to the top/ If you want blood / Fire Your Guns / Jail break

I also found a complete weird 90s version that is is a lot of Nirvana, Green Day, and other similar songs. If anyone want them shoot me a PM.

They are all 1.70 firmware

My Ac/dc vault is having an issue. Some of the lower playfield/insert lights are illuminating when they are not suppose to be lit. There are 3 under playfield lights that partially stay light during gameplay when they are not suppose to be on. I noticed they will also partially flicker when I press the flipper buttons or the popbumpers are activated. I can also cause them to flicker by slapping the side of the machine. I checked all the sockets but don't notice any issues. Any thoughts?

Hi all,

I have worked on the quality of the songs for the ACDC pinball and update the code :

in order to see the difference :

Original song on the pinball : https://www.dropbox.com/s/rq86o3du0yow1t8/ORIGINAL-306-5%2713%27510-hellbells.wav?dl=0

New song in my New BIN : https://www.dropbox.com/s/dmqh4am8dvjfcwu/NEW-306-Hells%20Bells.wav?dl=0

i have compressed the Flawless songs then add some effects to do the songs more clear on the pinball because the treble are so low on SAM system.

You can download the codes here if you want test :

PREMIUM : https://bit.ly/2WTXmzs

Tell me if its better or not ^^

newpinbin If you can slap on the side and have the issue happen, 99.9% of the time it is a bad/loose connection. That means it is a physical issue. So from there you are trying to track that down.

Normally I would start in the backbox for that. I'd check the lighting connectors back there, giving them a light wiggle and seeing if the flicker happens. Be very aware that wiggling that connector may move both ends of the cable. So finding it may not mean you are done. What you are looking for is the specific thing that is bad. A lot of times it can be a loose IDC wire (Insulation Displacement Connector). IDC sucks, but it is cheaper and faster to build and manufacture at scale. Sometimes I will even use a small screwdriver to run down the connector... but you should be experienced before doing that. It is easy to miss and short something out.

From there I'd pop up the playfield. There are a few different connectors that come down to the playfield. But the whole time you are doing this, keep your eyes on those lights. If you move a wire and they flicker or change, you have it by the tail. You are focusing on finding the one spot where you wiggle, and get your issue.

I realize this is general, and not AC/DC specific. But you are debugging a general problem. Also just keep in mind that with all this moving stuff around, an IDC connector may make better contact and the issue may disappear. Don't give up if that happens. Otherwise it will just come back.

Let us know how you are doing with this.

Thanks for the reply. I am still going over the machine, will just one bad connector cause multiple lights to dimly illuminate?

Even if you don't have electrical experience or knowledge grab your self an entry level multimeter that has at least audio for continuity. That alone is a huge help for chasing bad connection.

Actually one bad wire in a connector can cause it.

I’ve had an ACDC pro for about 6 months now, and I am loving it! Chasing those big song jackpots and song bonuses never gets old. I think I have one of the original 2012 builds.

Does this ever happen to you...? Twice now I have been gifted a “ball save multi ball”. What I think happens is a power drain down the left out lane that triggers the ball save, but then the drained ball bounces off the apron and up onto the flippers. The game seems to recognize this and let’s me play on with 2 instead of 1 ball. The last time it happened I started Jam MB and it served up a third ball.

I don’t know what I would do if something like this happened in a tournament....that’s pinball, play on?

I’d love to see a proper Oi Mania mode, and maybe even a semi-attainable mini-wizard mode added to what is already deep and enjoyable code.

That’s all for now

Anyone good with pinball browser that can help me out?

Send me a pm if you can help me out.

I’m pleased to offer my newly designed diverter cover for AC/DC. An owner asked if I could create something that hid the open area, so this is the result of taking input from a couples family owners. A special thanks to Kawydud for test fitting and photos.

The install photos are of the prototype. The final version will be printed in red instead of clear filament, and I’ve adjusted the decal image to have more of a deeper reddish coloring to it. The mod safely adheres to the backsides of the two plastic pieces using included adhesive tape on the two tabs. Also, be aware that some assemblies may not be completely square, so it normal that the mod may not sit fully flush with the back plastic.

Cost for the mod is $30 which includes US shipping (international shipping on a per quote basis). Please PM me if interested in ordering.

Does anyone know how to fix this spinner on my ac/dc pro? The ball passes under the spinner.

You can gently bend the spinner rods that mount through the holes. You may need to support the spinner bracket with one hand (depending on how much it flexes). Firmly grab the spinner blade and push it upwards (firmly but gently). It will alter how the spinner sits. You may need to push the spinner in different directions to get the angle you want. Try it, you will soon see what I am talking about.

I guess over time the metal got fatigued and bent ;-(

That fixed it!!! No more shots from the cannon directed at the spinner, which is how this happened in the first place.

Hey everyone, Having a problem with the cannon not firing. When I check the switch in the switch test it functions properly on the first test (61) then it says " Move To Switch Test 62 Failed. During game play it will fire , but only after the second swing out, and it only fires on its own , not when I hit the fire button. I had to replace the motor and the cannon crank because could not get the screw out of the assembly as locktite was used, anyway maybe during the reassembly I didn't position it correctly or what do you think ? Iv'e read a few things about the opto not positioned right, or something but really not sure ..... thanks for any input on this

#495 3 years ago

As a FYI, I've had one case thus far where my diverter cover did not adhere properly. This could have been caused by a few different factors including a dirty surface, if the diverter cover was repositioned one or more times, etc. For the adhesive, I use what is considered to be a "high tack" product that I've utilized in many of my decals and mods over the last couple of years. It has proven to be quite durable and reliable in hundreds of applications.

However, I stumbled across an even higher tack product that I just began utilizing for a completely different purpose. If my original product was a 10 on the tack scale, this new stuff is probably an 18-20. Therefore, if you find that your diverter cover is not adhering properly then please PM me and I'll be happy to send you some pieces of the new adhesive tape and no additional charge to you.

FYI, for those of you who have ordered in the last week or so, I utilized the newer super tacky tape on your covers and I will continue to do so on all orders moving forward.

It is the LED on the E lane. This should take you to your answer:

If it doesn't, just switch to viewing posts by me and search for the word "nuts" as in "drove me nuts". Took me a little while to track that one down in my game.

Is there a hidden song that you can unlock on the PRO?

#499 3 years ago
Quoted from Eskaybee:

« Spoiler! Click to reveal. Not really a hidden song, but yea, if you get to Encore you'll get the live version of Let there be Rock. »

Is that only extra song in the game?

#500 3 years ago

Hey guys, so I've been meaning to share my Pro code with you guys. Swapped out just a few songs and did a little editing so the high score song kicks in at the right spot. Feel free to give it a shot.

Let there be rock = Shoot to Thrill
Hell Ain't a Bad Place = Have a Drink
War Machine = Money Talks

Lermods shared a jukebox template to replace the one inside the game in the back. But, I'm not smart enough to figure out how to take the old one out so if anyone knows, I'm all ears. And I have the template if you want it for my code.
