Just got my AC/DC in and setup, loving the game but having a couple tech issues. For one the shaker effect seems very weak compared to my X-Men. In X-Men the shaker nearly rattles the glass, in ACDC it's much more subtle. In a direct comparison in test mode the ACDC shaker spins slower and seems to slow down further after multiple tests. Is this just the way ACDC uses the shaker?

Also, this machine has some pretty severe flipper buzz, I thought this was a thing of the past. Again, compared to X-Men it can be pretty loud, but doesn't happen ever time the flipper is held. Sometime it's louder than other times. Also much louder than my FGY, which I no longer have.

Wondering if I don't just have some larger electrical issue with this machine. Thanks for any info or help you can offer!

Shaker setting set to max, but what I understood that setting modified was frequency of use not intensity of effect. That right?

While reseating the shaker connectors I noticed the weights were offset a bit, maybe 15 degrees. On XM they pointed the exact same direction, I think this may be contributing to the weaker shake. I tried to true the weights up, but the pilot holes for the weight set screws were offset so they couldn't be adjusted correctly that way.

The flipper buzz is still a concern. It's really only the left one, and it buzzes so bad you can physically feel it through the button. This doesn't happen on the right side.

Quoted from ilovegames007:

the buzzing flipper is your end of stroke switch. It more then likely broke off

Hmm, thanks for the tip. Ill have a look tonight.

Check and make sure all the of connectors a plugged in all the way.. otherwise, got a meter?

I do. I might also swap the XM shaker with the ACDC and see what happens. It's just that the XM shaker is a pain to remove, they put the pilot holes for the interface board really low down close to the shaker so it has to come out to get the shaker out.

Quoted from mmuglia:

Let us know what takes care of the problem.

Will do!
