Why. So owners can change out scratched up playfield window in 10 years? Seems reasonable to me.
Agreed there isn't really any upgrades at all though.
I prefer the new backbox design, but sheesh that lower playfield window has alot of hardware holding it down.

Another original owner trying to prop up the original with false claims. Yea, I'm sure you've played a few different SMVE (pretty uncommon to begin with) in the pinball hotbed of Utah. I've owned both and my ratings reflect a pretty similar experience.
