Quoted from skywalker:

So with the removable lower PF window, the steel ball wont get kincked on the torx screws

Ahh ...the ball is allways hitting metal in a punball machine.... plus im sure they counter sunk them into the window

Its good on acdc but its a huge upgrade to any pin. A must have on all pins in my collection along with pdi glass

Quoted from MikeS:

Probably the same material but the original had several layers of clear coat protecting it vs. bare plastic.

Actually only some of the le did ...which caused the clouding issue. After the issue was noticed the window was no longer cleared over....

Quoted from Concretehardt:

I am nearly positive the hell insert was clear coated with all the other inserts on the original AC/DC.

Quoted from flynnibus:

No. - it was the plastic. The entire PF is cleared as normal

Thought it was changed after the clouding issue? My luci had a definite raised edge where the clear was not on the window and stopped before the window....? I read a while back it was a reaction between the clear and giant window that caused the clouding?

Quoted from MikeS:

My Premium from July 2012 was cleared over the window. I just double-checked. I can see a few really tiny clear bubbles if I look close and it is completely flat with no raised edge. Maybe I just got lucky and got a clear one out of the early run games?

Early premiums were cleared over.... but the did change the process at some point. My luci wasnt cleared over but they were the last run until the ve...

Quoted from 85vett:

To try and clear up fake news like the below and to advise on what we feel was an "upgrade". After all, it was the intent of this thread and I don't recall seeing a disclosure of, "no owners allowed". I know your angle. We want to pump the value of a our games. BS! The value before and after the release is still about the same and some of us don't care about the value as we didn't buy our games as investments anyways. We are hear because we want to try and help inform people of the differences between the two since it's been asked and also discussed.

Yours may be a rare one then. My later run original is cleared over, my spare PF is cleared over and my friends Luci was cleared over. Are you positive yours wasn't cleared over? Look for minor orange peal in the insert to be sure. Stern fixed the cloudy issue and the clear on them was pretty good after that.

Ive seen several not clearcoated over ... they must of went back and forth ? Who knows lol... not a big deal reguarless.
