Not sure, but mine definitely moves.. but then again I've only played 5 or 6 games before tearing it down.

A little more progress.. started putting plastics and rubbers back in. Adding the Clips protectors as I go. There's some GIs out so I'm going to order some and replace as I go. You can see the difference with the clear rubbers and flourescent plastic protectors. I like them so far.. gives it some pop. Not everyone's taste in sure.
20220329_205658 (resized).jpg20220329_213043 (resized).jpgIt's a unique glow, and certainly highlights the yellow on the playfield - I think it looks good. And, go for what makes you happy!
Are you moving to LEDs? I was glad I did with mine - certainly is bright - especially with mirror blades.
Quoted from shovelhed:Back in the Club! Been looking for a Original for a long time. I found the perfect local pinsider and made a deal. It came with some tasteful mods. I will be adding more to complete this Lyman & Ritchie masterpiece.

Very nice especially with the now unobtanium Aurich translite. I have one and it is way better than the original factory stock translite. I like the colour DMD in your machine. I am tempted to get one.

I used the same style GI bulbs in red, white, and blue, and removed the bulbs and fixtures from behind the lightning bolts because of the lightning bolt upgrade. Replaced all the large bulbs with led.
I like the glow. Gives it some life. Yellow goes well with the flames I think. Never been a big fan of the color blue.. lol. Installed the cliffys and replaced 8 or so bulbs already.

I gotta couple unique items I will be modding/having one made. This will be my best Ac/dc yet. I will show pics soon. Waiting for some parts to come in. I am also looking for a red metal apron made by hooked. Pm if you would like to sell.

Made some progress today. Had to shorten the switch because it was getting caught up on the plastic because of the height with the Clips protectors in. You can see a big difference between the left and right sides of the playfield. Left is pretty much done except for ramp install. On to the right..

PinballLife was great enough to offer these without having to purchase an entire plastic set. Already replaced mine...

I saw a few Angus leg breaks over the last 10 years. I took my Angus apart and I put 2 mil thick mylar on each side of his leg, hoping that it would help reinforce it against breaking. So far so good, knock on wood!

I broke a lightening bolt and Pinball Life does sell a single replacement. That said, it is amazing what you can do with some super glue and some patience. I did buy the replacement bolt and I did repair the broken bolt.
Quoted from smokinhos:Curious if anyone has a Helen translite available? Or color Dmd. Lmk. Thanks!
I just sold mine today, sorry bro
Quoted from shovelhed:I just sold mine today, sorry bro
Just curious. What are they going for these days?
I was asking for $400 or best offer. We agreed to $300 shipped. Didn’t really know what the market was however both the buyer and myself seemed happy at this price point.
Laseriffic was the original maker. I believe he is teamed up with mezel or cointaker. I would reach out to both. Have you also put up a wanted ad?
It’s been a few years whats the easiest way to change out the right slingshot rubber? Also is the correct size 2 3/4”
Don't know the size off hand but seems standard for stern.. I can check tomorrow. But if I remember correctly, I pulled the plastic off, disconnected the front ramp post, pulled the rubber off the front and worked it around the cannon and off. If yiu check the titan site for the kit with red flipper rubber and clears elsewhere, you can get the correct size.

BK3_300x300 (resized).jpgThank you very much. Can’t wait to show the club all the changes I have done to a already awesome pin.
I think my AC/DC came with these are great. After an errant air ball it damaged one of the LEDs. I picked up Pinbits lighting bolts and nothing is brighter that those things.
I had the red and amber and they looked awesome but I had issues with LEDs going out, although HOPs support was great. I also ended up with a set of Pinbits although I did like the look and install of the HOP ones better.
Red and amber would be my choice. Have I think 3rd generation and they are not flawless but hopefully these 5th generation will have all hickups in sometimes not all working leds are sorted out.
I was able to install this Custom Translite made by Pinstein and its just bad ass! Also installed a red translucent apron. Pin is getting close to being done. Im waiting for one final custom one off piece.

Cheers,
Nick

Rensh that is a fantastic post!
Does anyone know where I can source a back panel LED board? The part number is 520-5324-02. It provides the light for the juke box.

Thank you. I had intended to contact this seller tomorrow. For some reason many of the European sellers especially those in Germany will not ship to the United States. Perhaps there is some contractual reason.

This is KMS Handels so I will save you the message - they don't mail to the US.
However, if you're willing to pay, you can ship it to a third party, like mygermany.com, and go that route. I had to do that for an I/O board I needed which I only found at their store. It's safe (and legit), but it is pricey (especially for a board that's not all that expensive). It took about two weeks which I thought was quite reasonable especially during another Covid round, and the transaction was very smooth. Both KMS Handels and MyGermany were very easy to deal with.
If you think the board is messed up, you may want to contact Marco and see if they can get it directly through Stern, or you can reach out to someone like Chris Hibbler and see if he can repair it.
