Quoted from Rob_G:

The recent TWD update makes me wonder why Lyman never went back to ACDC like he has for TWD and MET? I'm thinking about selling ACDC and getting a TWD premium.
Rob

Wonder if he will do a surprise final update?

Mini wizard after 6 songs would be great but unlikely.

Don't cannon modes need work on them?

Quoted from MikeS:

mini wizard mode for completing 6 songs

My idea for Premium mini-Wizard Mode:
Multiball mode where completing the lower playfield shots lights the juke box for a jackpot. Shots to the Bell would be required to launch the ball on the lower playfield(and to relaunch after a lower playfield drain), thus you would have to "juggle" main and lower playfield simultaneously.

#853 7 months ago

Where are you guys setting your outlanes? I am getting a lot of side drains, I have been working on my nudging but I am considering closing my outlanes to the tightest setting.

I set the posts to the lowest spot (most closed). I would say do it.

I've been hoping for 3 or 4 years there would be another decent update... Maybe he just doesn't like the game as much as TWD or MET?

Having a problem with a new AC/DC vault, the ball gets stuck on the 3 AXE lanes up top. It's not the switch, you can see the ball rolls over the switch and then gets stuck on where the slot is routed out in the wood playfield. I don't want to start filing anything so thought I wold ask here if this is common and if there is a fix. I have to raise the back legs up really too high to get it to stop and would rather not have to do this, makes the game too fast. TIA

Sorry if it's been documented before but any of you clearcoated their AC/DC? Pictures?

I was thinking about this too and then the other day I was at Trent’s from Tilt Amusements and he sells a full playfield protecter just for AC/DC and it looked incredible. You do have to take some things off but nothing like you would to clear. It looked and felt really nice and high quality. http://www.tiltamusements.com

Is it possible it's getting caught on the rubbers from the lower part of the inlane? The inlanes are different top and bottom (one side is more oval shaped). When i shopped my game I got one backwards and it caused a ball hang up. If memory servers me correctly the oval side should be towards the bottom. Check that first.

Next, what is the pitch of the game? If it's not at min 6.5 I would increase to that pitch. The bubble level can be off so measure with a digital level. They are pretty cheap at hardware stores if you don't have one and are very handy to have.

If the top two don't solve this and you are 100% sure the ball is past the metal switch already then I'm fairly stumped. You would see an obvious flaw in the game for it to hold up a ball like.

I just replaced my old scratched protector with a new on from Pinball Universe. Shines as hell and plays great.

Below picture is how the old protector looks after I gues 700-800 plays.

Can really advise such a protector to protect the big insert.

I just added a full protector to my ACDCPREVE. Works like a charm and playfield looks fantastic!

Yes that is the brand Trent had and he is now the distributor for them in the US. It was really high quality I agree. I’m glad that you got to test and compare them also. Thanks for the input on this.

That’s a great write up and I thank you are right that nobody was any able to offer advice since it does “seem” intimidating until you have done it and your idea to trim some spots makes it a no brainer. Is this the Pinball Universe one on your AC/DC?

Okay I wasn’t sure thanks. The ones I saw at Trent’s from Tilt Amusements are the Pinball Universe ones. He is now the US distributor for them. They looked amazing and I saw an AC/DC in process of an installation which made me want a set.

Are the sling rubbers on Ad/DC Premium 2.5” on both sides or?

#872 7 months ago

Nice! Still my favorite game to date. What is the train flasher?

#873 7 months ago

Anyone have a code file for the song changes for the VEL. I have one version I for a previous original premium I owned, but it doesn’t seem to work on the vault version. Getting error that install failed.

Roof Mod -

I have a few spots left open in round 2.

This will be the LAST round of these being made by me as these are very time consuming. Updated plastic- cut like the CAD picture- FYI.

YES - It is a lighted mod - red/blue leds lights and then lighted flasher in the roof overhand - and then a new extended flasher in back.

Please PM me to get a spot. Plan to ship asap- as soon as I get my final parts from Comet Pinball.

Thx to everyone for your help.

I just wanted to drop a line and say I received CPR9999's mod today. I installed it and it looks awesome. If you are thinking about ordering one, and really how can you not with that hole staring at you on the right front end, don't hestitate.

Does this fit ACDC premium VE?

#881 6 months ago

Can someone give me the red color code to match the rails for the older premium (not the VE unless they are the same red)? I want to get something powder coated to match and need the code for it. Thanks!

I always thought the lower pf looked more like a slice of cheese pizza than flames of hell.

Aurich's Pro decal cut to size is a major improvement.

I don't think ACDC needs much

I think it would be interesting if they program the display to show how much jackpot value I just lost when I drain before loading the cannon.

I do that a lot.

Last night I collected all the songs and hit the scoop to change songs. I did, then drained. So after collecting 9 songs, and changing songs, THEN WHAT??? Start collecting songs again? Damn this machine kicks my ass every single night.

Assuming you are talking about songs to light jukebox and not all the songs on the jukebox (since there are 12). If so, yes, you change to a new song and recollect them again to light the juke box. Do this for all 12 songs and you get to the wizard mode called encore.

I like the tilttopper.com one that I have. I also have the Helen one from Laseriffic, but the titltopper one is a little interactive and flasher based on sound level. Just my 2 cents

Really wanna change songs via PB, but now realizing might have hard time with what song objectives are. Ultra large apron cards maybe lol?! Guess it helps I have NO idea how to use PB. Need to learn, my MET especially needs a refreshing.

I’ve got code for you if you want it and I made a new song list for the back panel I can send you if you want it. Dirty deeds, shoot to thrill and girls got rythym.

Thank you bud! Going on vacation this week but we'll talk soon! Gracias.

#897 5 months ago

A few people emailed me so I’m just going to post it here. The code has been posted in other places on pinside, it’s not mine. the song template file I made myself (another pinsiders made the template background, I filled in the text). I can’t confirm code works on original premium, but it works on my vault premium. Removing the plastic to get at the song list is simple, two screws with a nut in the back hold it on.

I wouldn't worry about the song objectives. For the most part the only difference between songs is how their scoring is done. Some songs are more valuable due to the risk of the shots vs others. You have some minor objective differences like the use of mini PF, the canon mode and TNT for instance but the main objectives stay the same (collect 8 songs to lite jukebox).

P.S. - If you want to progress further in the game and are struggling with ball times you can adjust the number of songs needed in order to light the juke box. Some will frown on reducing that setting but it your game so make it fun for you. Especially while you are learning the rules.

#899 5 months ago

How do you turn up the music volume and turn down the voice call out volume. Music volume is low - want to crank it higher.

#900 5 months ago

The settings are counter intuitive. For music make the number less (will increase it's volume) and for call outs make the number higher (will reduce it's volume). Not positive but I believe those are towards the end of the game adjustment menu.
