I am having all of the red hardware on our ACDC Premium powdercoated black, and wanted to solicit some input for the FIRE button piece.

I am planning to go with a glossy black finish on the lockdown bar, side rails, side rail screws & bolts, legs and leg bolts and the backbox hinges and bolts for those two pieces to the cabinet.

I will not be doing the coin door or any other parts, just the items that came in a red finish.

The only thing that I am up in the air on is the FIRE button plate, which is silver (should be the same for all models, if it matters).

If I decide to change the color of that plate, given that I am going with glossy black on everything else, what color(s) should I consider?

Don't do it. The red is sick.

    Red

Leave it silver 'cuz it might be hard to see in the dark otherwise....... I'm just afraid red might make it too dark. The red metal's kool... it's different! Come up and look at ours in the dark.... -Sherrie

Glossy black lockbar with chrome plated fire plate. Painted fire plate may chip ?

Why powder coat over the ones it came with? Be cheaper to get pro pieces. They are already black.

What's wrong with the factory Red? Looks pretty good on that cabinet.

    what! love the red!

chrome if possible, or red with the chrome plate or just red for the button.

Let the guy do what he wants, it's his machine And he spent the $$. I'm curious to see what it looks like. I like to see people's cabinet mods more than playfield stuff jammed packed with toys.

He asked for opinions and thats what we gave him.....I dont think anyone was even close to out of line with any of their comments.

couldnt you find someone with a pro to swap the parts with? Im sure a pro owner would love the red and then you'd get the stock feel you want.

Agreed, I know someone who is doing just that..and he is on this thread

Just thought of somethign...will the pro lockdown bar work on the premium and vice versa? I thought they have a different locking mechanism?

I have all black hardware I'd trade off of my IM for red gear, It has the proper lockdown bar also. PM if interested.

Ooops, forgot about that! How much does it cost to buy one? If it was a straight trade, I'd buy the lockdown for the person trading. I'd love to have red on my IM.
