Detonator looks cool

I was thinking it it cool but I wish they would not have used those wire connectors. I would suggest they leave the insulation off the connectors and used small brass wing nuts instead of those screws
I can see the wing nut mod kit for sale already....
You guys are so funny.....
1. WOZ will not revitalize pinball. No matter how great the game is, even at a Dollar per play, it will take FOREVER to reach the break even point for an operator of that game at the rate pinball gets played today.
Think of some guys sitting at the bar "Hey, you guys want to play some Dorthy???"
Maybe at the cineplex you will see the game, but I can only see it being shot in the LCD once bar patrons get tired of hearing munchkins singing "Follow the yellow brick road...Follow the yellow brick road...Follow the yellow brick road...Follow the yellow brick road..."
Think of Playboy, it used to sell 7m a month in the 70s - now they sell 1m. I don't think any publisher is dreaming of printing a new magazine that will "revitalize popular pornography"; society has moved on to other forms of erotic entertainment.
2. All of the armchair quarterbacks second guessing Stern's business model:
a. Stern is the last man standing. All the other pinball makers went under, or moved on (JJP is obviously still in the wind until they actually get some games out). Stern gets it, don't worry about it.
b. If all the AC/DC LEs are now sold out, then obviously Stern impressed the distributors (and those that got their orders in already with the distributors) enough to sell all of the LE games it wanted to sell. Success!
c. You can't complain about Stern's artwork without knowing the conditions that constrain them. The license holder decides if they want naked women, big balls, or Satan himself on the game. If they want photo realism, that is what you will provide if you want the theme. If they define a color pallet, you must comply. If they only want the band represented as it looked in the 70s or 80s, that's how it has to be.
d. Complain all you want about the cost, but if it already sold out, there were obviously enough people who felt that it was a fair value. None of us know the cost of the license, and the costs involved in licensing a product that will sell in many different world markets.
e. Complain all you want about ramps, cannons and targets, but none of us have played the game. None of us know more about flow than Ritchie.
f. The sneering face of Angus on the playfield, is what rock n roll USED to be about. Rebellious, giving the finger to the establishment, in a Devil's tail is my penis kind of way.
I've got to admit, when I think of AC/DC, I think of that sneering album cover. Probably most guys my age think the same.
And like everyone says to all armchair quarterbacks = "Why are you not a coach of a pro football team with all of your knowledge, insight and experience?"
...we all know the answer to that question.
