Quoted from stangbat:I've seen comments downplaying the face because that is where the lower playfield will be on the LE. Well, what if the artwork on the LE's lower playfield IS the face? May not be, but just sayin'.
I think you're on to something there. To be honest, if that face art was lurking in a recessed playfield it would give it some depth since the hat/horns could still be on the pf level of the art, and it wouldn't look nearly as ugly. It might even look quite good. Give it a slightly smoked glass and only light it when active.
Quoted from TomGWI:Automated Services has put their prices up on their site for those interested in prices:
Pro $4595
Premium $6,495
LE - Back In Black (300 units) $6,999
LE - Ready To Rock (200 units) $6,999
I know it's "automated prices". WOW $6999......really.
And if you think that's bad, look at the UK pricing:
Pro: £4295 (£3995 pre-order) - $6648 ($6185)
Premium: £5695 - $8817
LE: £6095 - $9437
So the Limited Edition is $2438 more in the UK.
I should have added, our massive 20% sales tax and shipping makes up most of that $2438. It'll probably be cheaper to get one from another part of Europe. Again. I can't see many selling here - it's just too expensive.
As with most overpriced things in my overpriced country, lube is not supplied - instead you get a small roll of salt dipped sandpaper.
Quoted from Firebaall:American Mcgee's Alice.
This or a Disney (animated) licensed one would be a NIB pre-order for me.
Quoted from VegasAlleycat:2 weeks?? I want to see the Back in Black and Let There Be Rock versions now. 2 weeks is a long time for people to keep bitchin' about the Pro...not a good move for Stern.
I started this reply by writing "to be fair to Stern, people have been demanding pictures", then I decided you're right - they should have just waited for 2 weeks, TF is still the new kid on the block after all.
