Quoted from GoBlue:

like the jukebox cards on the back. The bell and TNT toy are cool. I don't think the cannon looks good at all.

+1

Cannon looks very weak......the face in the middle, are you kidding me, that's horrible....yikes!

#15 12 years ago

Gotta believe JJP is LHAO right now and licking his chops....

#20 12 years ago

Ramps are........well I don't get it, at least TF has unique and cool ramps....

#29 12 years ago

I mean't TFM ramps, very cool.....

This turdish looking machine has a lot of the T2 layout in it.....

The only way to salvage this one is to put a naked Salma pop up doll under the play field somewhere!

#38 12 years ago
Quoted from pinball_customs:

I think you guys are forgetting .. this is the Pro model. Wait for the Premium / LE game (aka. the REAL pinball game)

Kidding right? BBH is a work of art by comparison....TFM looked great IMO (didn't play well IMO), maybe this one looks awful and plays great.....

Or you could pick up a T2 and put the Back in Black playlist on the Dr. Dre Beatbox and spend a whole lot less dough!

#44 12 years ago
Quoted from vid1900:

ukebox looks super retro

The TNT toy and retro juke box look good to me....however, the retro juke box would go with a fifties theme pin...why couldn't they get a little creative with the song display and tie something into the back box for crying out loud....

This is the answer to upgrading quality versus JJP! Wow....The LE better be an ENTIRELY different looking machine with different features....

#74 12 years ago
Quoted from Firebaall:

There's no valid reasons to try and ransom the real game to people for extra money. The only way you can get the real game from Stern is to pay for the LE version.

Clearly the best machines made by Stern, SM, LOTR, TSPP each have the same layout and play field for the most part....SM black is the same, so is LOTR LE....

Maybe that ought to tell you something....FOCUS on making a great game like these without having to crank out 10 different variations and they all end up being crap.....

They rushed out TFM and quality suffered and now they are trying to run out this junk in various versions meant to do nothing but hijack dollars....bad move buddy!

#139 12 years ago
Quoted from Shapeshifter:

The evolution of a pinball machine........

I saw that right away as I played T2 this weekend! What a pathetic effort....

It's BOHICA time, grab your ankles boys......

If anybody shells out 7k for ANY Stern NIB, I don't care what designation they put behind it, they are nuts! See TF recent quality control issues and the look blows this orange turd away!

Now think about this for a second.....HEP posted his #36 TF LE Decepticon on here for sale last week at a price of $5,995....and you know he had made some tweaks for the better.....still no takers as it's been listed on Mr. Pinball Classifieds....by comparison, it should have sold immediately...

TF quality control issues and now they rush this one out at 7k for the LE....GL to those that pre order...the distributors will be sitting on piles of these....including TF

#143 12 years ago
Quoted from Shapeshifter:

Turned down a restored MB, with new playfield ( unplayed ) for less money........

That's the point, you saw the TOTAN pimped out for 6800 and you know what you get there versus these prices! No way, I'll be looking for a CV pimped out and at least I know what I've got and the quality is great AND I'll be able to re sell it.....

#163 12 years ago

No shaker on the premium? ...."You shook me all night long"....

Sorry, WAY overpriced........

How about making some more SM's, box em up and sell em for a reasonable price....I'm first in line!

I paid 6500 for WOZ and looks to be twice the machine of anything Stern has ever made!

#219 12 years ago
Quoted from RGR:

WOZ is the last hope for pinball.... If they make great games then pinball will come back on the map... Make a standard game like TZ and mod it up like you would now.... It aint hard...

The issue that I am not sure about is that Stern either:

1: Does not have the funds to produce pinballs like they were in the 90s.

OR

2: They are milking the industry due to them being the only ones left.....

Dare I say I think the latter...

Yes WOZ is the last hope and yes it will deliver BIG TIME, you can already see that!

I've been saying it for a year and I still don't think people realize how big the LCD is going to be for pinball, I don't give a crap about the flow of the game and neither does the non pinball player......why do you think they stop "the flow of the slot machines" in Vegas! Because JJP knows that people sit there longer and are attracted to the clips and animations and will keep funneling money in!!!

What's different about WOZ? Well it looks like a great play field with great toys etc. and game play and yes the pinheads will love that, despite the theme some don't like, but the general public will LOVE the LCD display and that will be the game changer......

And all that said......sorry NP, Crazyflipper, I have ZERO apology for anything I've said about what Stern is doing, it's a stupid strategy on his part and it's going to blow up in his face.....on the surface of these lack of quality control NIB's to behind the scenes of trying to control suppliers and cutting off JJP which will never work....

Quoted from VT8man:

My WOZ is $400 cheaper! :-p

Nuff said......

While I love my LOTR LE, I paid $5300 for it NIB, with shaker, and delivered!......let's see, this was back in May of 2011!!! And now, a few months later, he expects people to pony up 7k for LE NIB's like TF and AC/DC that are inferior....that's a JOKE.....and anybody that pays that much for it is not playing with a full deck......

Stern is trying to take advantage of JJP pricing with assembly line machines that just don't measure up....so it will fail and it's a stupid strategy!

Make another run of SM NIB Stern, I'll buy one, for $5300, with shaker, delivered.....otherwise forget it.......

#220 12 years ago
Quoted from iceman44:

Yes WOZ is the last hope and yes it will deliver BIG TIME, you can already see that!

And to quote myself! This will be the last hope for me and my interest....I got back into pinball this time last year and got excited because of WOZ and the JJP buzz and thus I bought a LOTR LE to pass the time....and thrilled that I did....

So, if the model is to fleece the industry and new guys like myself, I'm done after this and will be happy with my 3 or 4 machines and no more....that's how you destroy future interest, so keep it up......

#243 12 years ago
Quoted from McCune:

Not a chance..

Watch it happen.....

And Stern didn't take my Bday away, I'm just not going to get ripped off! He's an idiot for rolling this out.......just saying...

#245 12 years ago
Quoted from RGR:

Judging by the length of this thread and the amount of negative feedback that is from a company as old as Gary Stern himself you gotta ask one question.... WTF?

Amen to that and a +1.........if people are dumb enough, and I don't think they are, to pay 7k for an LE that cost 5k a year ago just because JJP raised the bar and Stern hasn't....

If AC/DC has "sold out", then it's all sold out to the distributors and they will be sitting on it in their warehouses......I don't care "how it plays", I've seen enough to know the quality won't even come close to WOZ, thus, as a consumer, I'll pay less for my WOZ, get a whole more....and wait for the second JJP....OR....maybe Stern should just stick to releasing some successful old titles and make some smaller runs, less overhead that way....

I just don't see how you can be "positive" about a machine that is going to cost 7k that will play like T2 and be of lesser quality!

That said, go Stern go...I'm cheerleading for you! Make a better machine that I'd like to buy, I've got the dollars waiting.....

#258 12 years ago
Quoted from vid1900:

And like everyone says to all armchair quarterbacks = "Why are you not a coach of a pro football team with all of your knowledge, insight and experience?"

...we all know the answer to that question.

See above Vid views

#259 12 years ago

There is a reason HEP couldn't sell the $7,400 Extra Limited Ultra Special TF Decepticon for $5995 right away, if at all, it's WAY overpriced to begin with!

Quoted from vid1900:

If all the AC/DC LEs are now sold out, then obviously Stern impressed the distributors (and those that got their orders in already with the distributors) enough to sell all of the LE games it wanted to sell. Success!

Total BS, "Success" already, really, I don't believe there are 500 suckers to buy that LE at 7k....The dealers are in on the scam, if you pay it, good luck...

Quoted from vid1900:

Stern gets it, don't worry about it.

Obviously not, looks like he is in panic mode.....

#263 12 years ago
Quoted from coasterguy:

I bet once played it won't matter anymore. It's part of the bands history.Stern probably had to use it. Looks fun to play though.

You are the best Coaster! Love the positive attitude........

I guess I'm more of a cynic, the price just doesn't justify the purchase imho, for those that buy it I hope you love it!

#266 12 years ago
Quoted from NimblePin:

And to honda...
Yes, I love crack!!!
If you have some, can you deliver it in big yellow bricks?!?

I'm thinking Jimmy Honda needs to put the crack pipe down before he posts

Just kidding Jim, I appreciate the old school smart a.. attitude!

No need to apologize NP.....Stern is gonna be sorry, MSRP of $8495...Even the dealers are already cracking on each other to unload this pig....

Wait, on second thought, I'll take five LE's for investment purposes...hehe

#306 12 years ago
Quoted from McCune:

Really ?Who is the jury ? I think it looks cool.

Well, since you bought one you are officially now part of the jury! If you grew up with the theme then sometimes price doesn't matter...right...

I hope you love it and I'm sure the LE with be a whole lot better...but the PRO looks like a wrap around turd....

They might need to have Ritchie do daily tours to pump this thing!

#310 12 years ago
Quoted from badbilly27:

Theme may hold me back but for AC/DC fans with mula - right to be pumped.

I was AC/DC Back in Black then.........now, I'd be on Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville sight unseen, no matter price, so I can see the thrill for fans

#312 12 years ago

Haha...come on Gambit, the Carpenters, are effing kidding me, maybe you Donny and Marie float your boat...but Jimmy, I see a lot of Margaritavilles and Parrotheads all over the country...not so much on AC/DC!

#315 12 years ago

ABBA, Celine Dion and Mariah Carey have all sold more than AC/DC! How about one of those pins...yikes, sorry but JB is still rocking and raking in over 100 million every year and now have Margaritaville casinos in Vegas and Jersey....AC/DC is done...only the memories are left And of course a pin....

#319 12 years ago
Quoted from gambit3113:

using the guy who is playing it's head as a battering ram to destroy the cabinet, and lighting the pile on fire - after Cheeseburger in Paradise plays for the 81st time that night.

Now that's a funny visual A Bruce Springsteen fan might do it but....not an Angus fan, and I'm thinking Pat Benatar would kick some Angus ass.....

#334 12 years ago
Quoted from Winball_Pizard:

AC/DC theme blows WOZ out of the water hands down.

So was Rolling Stones....do you want to buy it

#340 12 years ago
Quoted from vid1900:

But the playfield could only show a big right side of her face...

Haha...well if it showed any part of her, yikes and the Carpenters sold over 100 million records, just saying
