Layout kinda reminds me of Iron Man a bit. Don't like the face in the center.
Is that a cannon on the right sling?
Darn, I was hoping for a flimsy Brian Johnson doll that went back and forth across the middle of the playfield.
Here's 12 pics of the game including playfield detail shots: http://pinballhead.com/acdc-pinball-pictureseditions-stern/
I like the jukebox cards on the back. The bell and TNT toy are cool. I don't think the cannon looks good at all.

+1
Cannon looks very weak......the face in the middle, are you kidding me, that's horrible....yikes!
I can't believe how hideous looking this pin is! The huge face in the playfield while ridiculously lame is obviously a mere placeholder for where the window into the lower playfield will be on the LE's.
Hopefully it plays good, because it is not a looker by any means...
Face is probably Pro edition only. The lexan for the mini playfield will probably replace it in the Premium and LE editions.
Stern must have their calendar set on "April 1st", today...
Seriously though,
I really feel bad for the people who were anticipating this machine and saving their $$$, to be a great tribute/masterpiece to all things 'AC/DC'.
Now that I have seen this, I am very cool with Stern NOT doing an 'Iron Maiden' (<---The BAND) pin!
I don't think I could handle it...
I have added AC/DC pinball to the Pinside database.
To start positive, that bell looks pretty cool, hit it and hear it DONG!
I really hoped to see wire ramps. Ah, too bad!
A cannon, seriously? That's so... Steve Ritchie (in a good way!)
Glad to only see one of those stupid QR codes. No one cares for those things, right?
Cabinet sides ROCK, unfortunately the backglass is not really, uhm, my taste.
Hmm, first reaction is that I'm not thrilled about the use of photos on the playfield. Why oh why is it so hard to hire an artist to do photo-realist art, I wonder. Or is that a limitation of the license?
Compare this to Guns n' Roses hand drawn artwork (Markus Rothkranz if I'm not mistaking), which is so much more pleasing to the eye and so much more creative:
I do like the style of drawing on that big head (beats a photoshop job) but agree with others here that it's too friggin' big! Man, it would have been so nice to see the whole playfield drawn instead of photoshopped.

The song selection is top notch, must be fun to play and rock simultaneously!
(Photos in this post are from the awesome Pinballhead.com)
Nothing says "cheap" like a big, long, straight, plastic ramp....ugh...
I'm sure the Angus face won't be on the LE's because of the lower playfield, but they should have at least sprung for wire-form ramps.
Quoted from iceman44:Ramps are........well I don't get it, at least TF has unique and cool ramps....
TF has the same ramps as Sopranos.
AC/DC looks like a rehash of Iron Man/Austin Powers....
Quoted from NimblePin:I think it is the perfect time for Robin to instate my barfing emoticon...
Haha, I might. I just might... But then I would also need an emoticon to clean all the barfin mess up. It could get ugly in this thread.
Feel bad for Stern and Steve Ritchie in particular. Guess many people had high hopes for this one and I must agree that what we're seeing here (in terms of artwork) looks very, very poor.
Let's hope it plays better than it looks!
Did Stern really need to fill that LE playfield space with Angus' face? Its too overpowering for the rest of the art, save that minor detail looks to be a fun machine to play.
I think you guys are forgetting .. this is the Pro model. Wait for the Premium / LE game (aka. the REAL pinball game)

All hail TFLE, maybe now people will appreciate a beautifully thought out, gorgeous game.
No doubt. Gomez must have got some stuff past the bean counters.

They should have released pictures of the LE first. I am sure it would have gotten a better reaction.

Does it really matter at this point in time???
It would take a completely different game/PF layout, to sway everyone back!
Gomez must have got some stuff past the bean counters.
I must agree!
He probably depleted some of 2012's budget too!
Now TRS isn't looking too shabby in hindsight.

Kidding right? BBH is a work of art by comparison....TFM looked great IMO (didn't play well IMO), maybe this one looks awful and plays great.....
Or you could pick up a T2 and put the Back in Black playlist on the Dr. Dre Beatbox and spend a whole lot less dough!
Man I love that Detonator...love that jukebox look in the rear too! Brings back memories. Like others have said though...that photo implant to the Playfield is like....well....hmmm....better not use those words in a public forum...hmmm....well....it STINKS!
Just a (mine) subjective opinion of course
The face...the face....the faaaaaaaace!! Man that could haunt people in there dreams....scary.
Looks like Stern just gave people the "horns"!
Quoted from vid1900:ukebox looks super retro
The TNT toy and retro juke box look good to me....however, the retro juke box would go with a fifties theme pin...why couldn't they get a little creative with the song display and tie something into the back box for crying out loud....
This is the answer to upgrading quality versus JJP! Wow....The LE better be an ENTIRELY different looking machine with different features....
Quoted from Pinballdad:Just a (mine) subjective opinion of course
Subject away PBD!!!
It is the only way for them (Stern) to learn their lesson and make good on the next one from the input given here!
I bet this thread hits 200 by tomorrow morning!
I think the LE with the face gone and a playfield in its place, and other improvements like drop targets and a nicer cannon, and maybe nicer ramps will be a good game. I like the art except for the face.
WOW - did you cats see the drop targets that are like piano keys?
next to the Axl Rose looking guy - Way to go Stern!
Quoted from Snowdale:All hail TFLE, maybe now people will appreciate a beautifully thought out, gorgeous game.
Much like Tron, TF is a great looking game except for the playfield. On Tron the playfield is merely okay looking while TF's looks like a bit of a mess in my opinion. The cabinets for both look great though!
