They just need to be cleaned on the underside. Mine gets nasty looking pretty quickly, especially near the flippers. It gets coated with a fine layer a black pin dust, presumably from the flipper mechs. The pin dust makes it look foggy. I just drop the lower playfield and polish up the underside of the insert with some Novus 1 and it looks great again for a few hundred games.
