Yeah, well you and everyone else who owns an ACDC SUCK!!!!

#8 11 years ago

It looks great! Told him to put me on the list even though I already have a topper!

#9 11 years ago

I think aftermarket toppers are generally pretty stupid. With that being said, there is no doubt in my mind that McKee's toppers are the best out there by FAR.

#10 11 years ago

Gotta admit, I have no idea what a Mckee type topper looks like. But after reading all this, I sure would like to see a pic.
Although I can't ever imagine I would want to change from the awesome guitar topper that I have now.

#11 11 years ago

I want one!
How can I order one or put my name on the list?
I have tried to find a website for Matt but could not find one.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

It's on Facebook.

#13 11 years ago

The only problem with McKee toppers is that he does not make them for enough machines. They are amazing! Great guy to deal with.

#14 11 years ago

Any chance someone posts a pic for those of us that don't use / care about Facebook?

#15 11 years ago

...or at least a link to his Facebook page? There are a lot of Matt McKees on Facebook, as it turns out.

#16 11 years ago

His page is called Pinball toppers on FB

How so?

I have nothing against them, I've had several of them in fact and they are of high quality, but so many of them are repetitive in terms of showing the name of the pin right above the back glass. Examples: LOTR and Spiderman. Do we really need to have a topper that says "Lord of the Rings" right above the back glass, a few inches away, that also says "Lord of the Rings". Same with Spiderman.

Dam I already bought a laseriffic topper. But Matt is the man of toppers. There may be a lasseriffic topper for sale at a good price soon.
I had to search all over to find my POTC topper from him.

#19 11 years ago

Found it.
http://www.facebook.com/pinball.toppers?ref=ts&fref=ts

There is a picture of the AC/DC topper.
Looks like it will be extra nice, but I love the Laseriffic guitar topper too much.

#20 11 years ago

I just bought one at Expo wished you had told me Jason. I liked the Laseriffic toppers but like Matts metal look. Now get him to start that next Stern music pin by Borg for 2013

#21 11 years ago

Can someone post the pic for those of us who dont have facebook and how do u get a hold of mr. Mckee?

#22 11 years ago

From Facebook...

"New AC/DC topper in the works. Logo is back lit, polished aluminum flames have flickering LEDs facing them."

If repetition is your concern, then his toppers might not be the best for you. His toppers tend to be low key and a bit classier than some of the toppers that obviously got cranked out in a few hours.

However, not impressed with the AC/DC topper.

Here it is animated in a gif image from Matt.
It will simulate the Highway to Hell kind of thingy on the right side of the game. AC_DC_Topper.gifAC_DC_Topper.gif

I like the Laseriffic guitar better.

#26 11 years ago

This topper doesn't really WOW me like his other ones. Still waiting for him to do a TSPP topper.

#27 11 years ago

He makes the best toppers out there. No knock on lasserific just I prefer Matts style more. Bad ass mr Mckee.

Right on que, again, his topper for AC/DC is repetitive as expected.

I definitely prefer the Laseriffic Guitar Topper.

#32 11 years ago

I think the laserific toppers look odd on pinball machines. Pinballs have all kinds of art in lots of different styles. The laserific toppers essentially clash with how the games look, why take a sweet looking game and install a topper that looks so different art wise? Tron, maybe, but they all look the same to me and none of them even come close to fitting the art style of the games.

The toppers don't have to blend in or anything but I don't think they should go in a whole other direction either.

#33 11 years ago

Love it!! Classy topper

#34 11 years ago

How about this topper ?

#35 11 years ago

Mnpinball my friend i think our brains are exactly alike

#38 11 years ago

I just uploaded the first preliminary demo vid.
Still a work in progress, I want some red flashing horns on top

Polished aluminum, 3-D depth 2 pc design. Classy.
Yellow and red chasing lighting to accentuate/simulate the Highway to Hell right ramp feature on the Premium/LE.

#39 11 years ago

So much for the low key toppers

#40 11 years ago

I hate toppers but this one really works for me. What is the price range for this?

I guess everybody has their prefernces, I prefer Mckee toppers. Did you hear about the ACDC lasserific topper that fell on a members BIB....ouch! I heard they are kind of heavy, but I have never seen one. I am glad that other guys are making toppers and providing consumer choices, I think the speaker backbox kits are a nice product from laseriffic.

#42 11 years ago

They're pretty hefty looking, those Laseriffic toppers. The acrylic is way thicker than I would've ever thought from pictures.. saw someone's Tron one...I would guess it was close to a quarter-inch.

#43 11 years ago

I honestly like most of the toppers made by ALL the topper guys

#44 11 years ago

The older toppers were 3/8th thick, the newer ones with the tops cut off are 1/4". They are well bulit but very light weight. I have not heard about one of my toppers falling on someone's machine. Can anyone shed some light on this??
