Quoted from John1210:My distro said there will be no runs after this small batch. Never say never with Stern but is this more likely than not?
Id like to think luci will maintain a little exclusivity over the normal premium.
I don't see why Stern would limit the run. If this sticker sells better than another sticker, then why not. It's not an LE, so there is nothing limited about it. For selfish reasons, the more limited the better, maybe for resale value, but I try not to think like that, because if that was the case, then I wouldn't have one on order now.
Quoted from jrio101:Anyone get a call from their distributor yet on luci?
Supposedly shipping as early as Monday according to Gex
Quoted from Mike_J:I believe Luci looks the best.
I own the Premium and a buddy has the BIB, but she takes the cake in my book.
Congratulations to all of the new owners.
The standard premium with the Helen translite looks pretty awesome. Especially with the Helen topper.
Quoted from TheGunnett:$6,900 shipped
$6800 shipped is the going rate. $7199 is the minimum advertised pricing.
Quoted from crashnt20:I think that if you are spending $6,800 on something it should be in perfect condition if it is new. Anything new should be in perfect condition. I think his claims are valid and this forum should be a place that we can vent frustrations or concerns without fear of being torn apart by everyone. When I saw his photos and concerns I was upset for him.
Yeah, I'm not so sure no get why a lot of people think you just need to "suck it up" or whatever. Who runs a business that way, or expects to be treated that way from a business. If you go to McDonald's and they mess up your order they will fix it, and burgers are $2. I think with more competition stern will ultimately have to address it, or lose market share.
Regardless, I got my Luci and it seems great but looks like the lower playfield is low. Not a big deal, but should someone really have to drive to home depot to make a 7k purchase usable? That's really acceptable to some of you? What about people who aren't handy? So odd...
I've received my Luci a few days ago, and have been slowly installing cliffy's. Just don't have much free time these days. Anyone think it would be a good idea to replace the brand new rubbers with Titans? I'd have to order them so that might put the game out of commission for a few more days, but I figured since I have half of it apart....The other half of me says just finish up the cliffy's and play the game.
Quoted from IdahoRealtor:Leveling the window should definitely get handled before it goes out the door. Are they aware it's a problem?
I mean, they would have to be aware of it. The height differential is so drastic. It's like playing on a haunted machine. The ball just will hit and edge and change direction. Honestly it looks like they just looked at the machines and were like.
Lower playfield too low? F*** it
Canon scrapping on plastic? F*** it
Top lanes too tight? F*** it.
I love my machine, super fun to play, but I would only buy a new stern at a discount price from now on, because they build them like discount products.
To me it seems like they are getting ready to sell the company. Make the bottom line look real good. Because this can't be an effective long term strategy with all the new players in market.
Quoted from rennervision:Thanks. I've had some issues getting things up and running though. Was finally able to test things out and at first I thought my fire button wasn't working. Well... turns out it is (and works fine in the switch test) but I pretty much have to hit it immediately. If I wait until the cannon is aiming at the AC/DC targets it flat out doesn't work.
Anyone know why?
I had some really weird issues with my Luci. Basically the same issue with the cannon. It would auto fire and say that I never hit the button. Then miraculously started working again. Then both ramps were not registering, then also like a miracle, started working after a few days. Has me worried a bit as it doesn't seem like a mechanical issue (switch).
Good luck. Some people say to clean the opto switches and that will solve the issue. Mine corrected before I had a chance too.
Quoted from rennervision:Well, like I said, it's working now. I didn't do anything, but it's working. Beats me how it got fixed.
Yep, same thing happened to me with cannon, then ramps. Not very comforting because there must be a fault somewhere.
