Quoted from Bobby:

At one point on a game for sale (can't remember if Luci OR if pro/premium with Helen kit) I saw curved red horns protruding on either side of the head. They looked to be about 6 inches long or so and may have been somewhat translucent as well (maybe lit, maybe not). Never saw it in person, just on a game for sell a year or farther back.
Does this ring a bell with anyone??? Does anybody know of this mod being available for sale??
I ordered a Luci and would love to add this on!!!!

Here's a link to some pictures of the mod you are looking for...
Not sure where it's from originally. Almost looks like something from a Halloween costume shop.

Quoted from DavidPinballWizz:

Luci was about to ship end of february I heard.
In this video from 12 february you can seem them on the line being produced (the playfield clearly has the outcut for the newer style mini playfield window)
» YouTube video

I don't see the ladies on the lower playfield in that video? From the looks of that, along with the clip of what looks like a premium or pro Ac/Dc being boxed up, it appears that they are making a run of standard premium vault editions right now if the video footage was recorded around the February 12th time frame.

No Luci that I can see anywhere else in the factory...?

Wow, Stern is finally making them! Looks great!

Quoted from cooked71:

Isn’t that just the same as the original?

It's the same as the original, looks like the change was adding red to the speaker panel.

Quoted from Darscot:

I just can't unsee that weird disjointed hip. Why did they do that?

Hey, if you don't like it, put it in the middle of a row or stick Playboy decals on it!

I had Luci finally show up on Friday and then was able to get her setup and adjusted yesterday.

Not too many issues to deal with...

1) I had to use some rubber grommets to shim up the lower playfield window to make it flush.
2) A couple of switches to adjust.
3) The cannon needed the wiring harness to be loosened up to be able to rotate freely. Then the right ramp had to be adjusted to the far right for more clearance and then I tweaked the bottom ramp support by bending it slightly to the right to give the cannon enough room to swing without touching anything.
4) One of the lockdown bar latches was completely off and laying in the bottom of the cabinet.
5) One pop bumper was sticking, but adjusted on the bottom side of the playfield to free it up.
6) Replaced flipper rubbers and installed some new pinballs from PBL.
7) I had no issue with the top AXE lanes as others have had. Spacing was about even amongst the three.

Put a coat of wax on it and proceeded to play!

The cabinet, decals, and playfield all look really nice on this machine. No complaints so far on that.

I’m not sure how long the build is (or was) on this run, but for others that may wish to know, my build date was March 12, 2018 on this Luci.

You can check out here what size RustyLizard used on his Luci.

Quoted from PM_Jeremy:

Let us know what you think of the video
Jeremy & the Pinball Mayhem crew.

I used some from this assortment I bought from Harbor Freight? Or maybe it was Northern Tool or Home Depot quite some time ago...

Anyways it was 3.8mm ID x 7.6mm OD x 1.9mm section size.

If I didn’t have any, I would have just taken one of the grommets off and cruised over to the local hardware store to find something that was close in size...

What’s the difference between the Mezel and Pinbits?

Has anyone seen and compared the Pinbits version with what Hooked on Pinball has for a lightning bolt flasher? They look pretty similar but I don’t think the hooked version has flashers on the back? Looks like a lot more leds on the front side though.

#710 6 years ago
Quoted from WeirPinball:

Yes, they are similar - the pinbits don't have flashers in the back either. Completely integrated.

It looks like on the product description and pictures for the pinbits version it shows 8 leds on the front and 4 on the rear that flash to the back of the game. Do yours or the current version not have them now?

Thanks for all the comments on the subject!

After looking over all the choices a couple of times, I decided to go with the Pinbits version. Now the wait begins!

Quoted from Rum-Z:

Yeah, that does seem to be the intent of the bending the plastics via the use of the spacers. I've got a lot of the playfield's topside components off while I install Cliffy's and plastic protectors, so I may do some experimentation with some other combination of spacers that still allow a ball to roll off without having that plastic stack be so bent up. If it doesn't work, I'll just stick the stock spacers back in.

That whole setup looks goofy as heck on mine as well, so I decided to stop by Blainbrook and check out their original run Ac/dc Prem and the plastics appear the same as ours. Picture isn’t the greatest, but the plastics are just as wavy as what’s on my machine. I guess I’ll see if there something to be done when I install my cliffys too.
