Quoted from Av8:

Its the underworld Highway to Hell. Dont think it was intended to be Angus.

Definitely it was, or at least that's what their feature list used to say (I don't have time to dig it up right now). In fact, the inserts for the eyes and mouth are still in the same spot.

anyway congrats, it looks great

What is on the corners In the first pic? Protectors?
Yes, straight from the factory! We were marveling at the simplicity and anticipated effectiveness of the solution. Basically the metal piece ensures the leg edges do not touch the cab. In addition, the decals are cut back away from the legs!
Great that Stern addressed the problem.

Very cool. Glad it only took one game to figure out a solution to this.

Quoted from Shapeshifter:

I only just found out that the LED' in the Premium cannot be changed so you better like LED's!

I think that is one of the stupidest things ever! Stern is silly for doing this most collectors like to add their own touch and changing colors with LEDs is one way to do that. Can't you change them out from top of the playfield? And what happens if one goes bad, why is Stern making life on the collector more difficult with lighting?

Flipper fidelity. Mike is great guy to deal with. Great communication and professional.

Maybe only partially stupid. The GI strings are regular old sockets. You could change them out, but there are 3 specific color zones: white, blue, and red. If you changed the LEDs to some other color, then it would look weird when the machine lites a zone expecting a specific color. Its implemented very well. Also, several of the inserts have RGB LEDs supposedly to allow the software to control the color of the insert. Again, you wouldn't want to change those.

I think its a very well though-out lighting design.

I'm sure there are additional threads on this but the theory is that these are 3 or 4 color changing diodes. So the lighting code was written so that based one where you are in the game and what feature your playing the entire lighting changes from white to blue to red. If you look at the vids out there of people playing the Prem and LE it really looks great.

The other advance is that the machine was built for LED. I.E. no old tech. The boards were built for LED so there is no Flicker and again the LED intensity can be controlled unlike the old way that was either on or off.

You do bring up an interesting point of how do you change them when they fail but I haven't seen mine yet to know how they are built into the machine.

I can't wait for Trent to call

Hmmmm yeah my comments might be seen as a bit harsh but for me I would rather there be 0 companies making games rather than these cheap thoughtless games being released that insult all the great pins made before them.

hmm...^^ ;P Could not resist, sry.

good to see that you can change your mind.

ACDC Pro with 1.4 update. Not a great game but not bad.

LTBR looks awesome!! I got one too (serial #10), but I havent opened it yet
After looking at both games, I like the LTBR over the BIB. The backglass and color scheme are much cooler.
