I would appreciate a little help as I am new to working on sterns. The ball kickout at the jukebox has died, the coil will not fire and I am not sure what I should start with. All the other coils are fine. Switch is fine it is the coil, Checking power to it I get power on only one lug (74v) but not the other while all the other coils have power at both lugs.

Any tips or links to sites would be very appreciated! Pinwiki has almost nothing.

So I am thinking it is the coil itself now given I only get power on one side. Does that sound right?

wires are connected I checked that solder looks good and I tried with a DMM. I pulled the playfield out too far the other day and it dropped (I am to used to B/W) so that might have done it. Does that sound right though?

Did a check there. Seems like the circuit is getting interrupted in the coil. I have pretty much convinced myself that is it now but would really love for someone else to jump in and agree! Shipping costs are a bitch.

Bump for a better time for people in the northern hemisphere to see. Does my coil diagnosis sound right?

Finally checked it and the solenoid does not have continuity. I pulled it and took a look and there is a small scrape on the wrapping and you can see where the wire is damaged on the coil. I think it happened when I slid the PF out and dropped it it must have hit something. Easy enough to fix though.
