Its supposed to stick out like that? Mine is either turned in under the plastic or the sticking out part is broken off. I just have a round spring on the post. I thought it was supposed to just make the ball bounce a little not stick out like that. I'll probable get rid of mine I think its doing nothing.

Mine the part that was meant to stick out was hooked behind a TNT target. I removed it last night and replaced it with a rubber post. I've never had excessive drains from there. I tried it with the spring out but the ball would actually hang up on it.
